I think it would be cool it mattel did what jakks did with there basic figures. That is putting like a painted shirt one the body. Just something different.

I did not know that. Thank you for pointing that out.

IF they were going to do that they would have to create an untucked shirt mold much like Jakk's R3 Rock.... Most wrestlers don't tuck their shirts into their trucks so Jakks RA style shirts looked awful. But to be 100% honest I like the way Mattel are releasing them now. As a Basic collector I will buy an Elite if I want the shirt bad enough. Besides that I don't bother.

They should most definitely consider doing this for Cena, so they aren't all the same thing with different shoes or a different shade of raver jorts. They did with Rock, so I guess it's possible.

I would like elites with a molded shirt. I think that would be cool and eliminate the stain problem with the fabric ones. The rubber shirts are cool too

I don't like the idea of figures stuck in their entrance gear very much, t-shirts on short trunks look especially bad with the tucked in look. If the were made in full street gear, like with jeans or pants then maybe. Jakks did this alot and often not very well. I can remember as a kid wishing some of my hasbros were in ring gear, guys like M$M and Roddy Piper...and I think that is Mattel's reasoning behind not doing many figs like this.

I doubt it would ever happen (unless its a Rock/Cena 2-Pack that sells for $10 over the normal 2-Pack price) because Mattel uses the shirts as a selling point to the Elites. Street Clothes basics would create a pool of reusable parts and add verity to the slew of re-paints and re-releases.

I'd like to see it, if they did it more like that r3 Rock and less like the terrible RA tucked-in ones. But it's rare for wrestlers to wear normal clothes much now anyway. Cena of course, but his 'street gear' is just his wrestling entrance gear and his elites cover that. There are some who'd be good as basics though, possibly just in a short-packed battle pack with a more popular figure. Maybe a Miz in a suit (with IC title and Christian), Otunga in his lawyer outfit (with coffee cup and Santino or Sheamus), Punk in jeans or shorts maybe?

I absolutley HATED jakks molded shirt figures...it's one thing if its dreamer, or even current Rey with a shirt, but I hated when we get a Cena or hhh with a molded shirt.

Just bought a B19 hornswaggle. He has a moulded, untucked shirt. But then again he also has Elite articulation.

I wouldn't want to see him wrestle without a shirt lol. Its just the only other Basic I can think of with a moulded shirt. I used to hate all the RA figs they put out with tucked in Ts with wrestling gear on the bottom. Made no sence and looked like crap.

I'd rather they not, simply because I remember Jakks made several figures with attires I liked that weren't in ring gear and were never released again. That's why I prefer Elites when it comes to getting figures with removable accessories.
