I have very few complaints for my Jakks figures. Their joints remain tightly snug despite years and posing use and a case of loose ankles or knees can be resolved with just a little drop of crazy glue. But what about those loose, spinning arm sockets that drive us crazy? I have just 2 or 3 figures with that problem, but I just hate it. Not only does the arm come lose, making it impossible to pose properly, but the whole shoulder socket seems to drop, making your figure look like it's got a broken arm. I don't crack torsos, I tried stuffing the inside of it with cotton but today I finally came up with the solution, simple enough, and maybe many of you already use it, who knows... I guess I can still share for those who haven't found a quick and easy fix. PONYTAILS! ;D Really? Like the ones RVD uses to ponytail his long, chestnut hair? Damn right! Just wrap it 3-4 times around the hand and pull all the way to the arm socket and use a plain screwdriver pit to drive the ponytail inside the socket, pull and wrap again, repeating until you pretty much can wrap no more. The ponytail will be wrapped (luckily) well enough inside the arm socket to tighten it up and leave it almost like new!

Haven't heard of using a ponytail, but I have heard of people using dental floss in the same fashion as you described.

I'd guess the ponytail would be more efficient since it's stretchable, thus providing more tension than dental floss. I tried with string too, and it didn't really work for me. The ponytail seems to be the best fix I have come up to right now.

A little crazy glue works really well in the joints too, but you have to be REALLY careful you dont glue the joint together. You have to keep moving it for awhile to get the gunk built up and wala! tight joint!

I know of two ways. 1. This might not work for everyone since they might not have them but when i had braces i used to get these little bags of clear rubber bands and what i do is i just slide them up the arm and into the joint then just keep adding more until it gets slightly stiff. This will also work with regular black rubber bands that are used for hair i suppose although it may take a few more due to the size. 2. You can wrap fishing wire around the joint until it becomes stiff and then just cut off the remainder of string with scissors and you're good to go. Hope this helps. My method. ^

The only thing I'd be worried about with the ponytail tie method is:
The joint is loose so the inner portion has broken in some fashion. The excess tension being put on the already strained joined as you continue to tighten the band seems to be asking for the joint to break completely inside the torso and thus ruining the figure.
Thoughts?

I actually have the exact opposite problem with my MCMG both Shelley and Sabin's right arms are incredibly tight and are a pain in the ass to move or pose
