It's too bad he's leaving, but hopefully the door will be open for him if/when he wants to return. I always thought he was talented, and skillful for a guy his size. I could have seen him as the next Batista-like role. If he comes back and they repackage him, he should have no problem getting some attention.

I just hope we still get to see Hawkins get some tv time.

I was actually just staring to get into the guy, I didn't see much of his NXT time as of late, but Him and Hawkins have been entertaining. I would have tried to keep him, and can Ryback. But in all honesty I thought he would have been released shortly after ECW ended.

Woah...didn't see this being the original "Reks is gone" thread...
Shows how much differences of opinions one superstar can make when given more prominent TV time. I remember this man being given the Jinder Mahal treatment before Jinder Mahal was around; overwhelming majority here wanting him off their TVs (myself included for a long while).
If he wants to spend more time with his daughter, that's perfectly fine with me and I will not damn him or the WWE for his decision. Must be totrturous not being able to see your child grow up. Respect the hell out of him for choosing more family time and I wish him the best.

This is terrible news. Reks & Hawkins were my all time favorites and they should have been the tag team champions. I'm gonna miss representing them ringside at every PPV You could still represent them with signs like "Hey Reks" or "Hawkins and Baretta" "Hawkins and Ryder" If he's leaving to take care of his daughter, then good for him, he wants a family life. Gonna miss that beast tearing it up with Hawkins.

Good for him leaving on his own terms. I couldn't really care less about him. He knows with a lot of us know. He'll never be any kind of champion in the WWE so why not cut his losses and leave? He'll turn up on the indys for sure. He'll make more money anyway. He can work only weekends and be there all week for the kid.
