There's been quite a few from the Hasbro days. Many of the last few waves of Batman Beyond, but if I had to pick one it's the last figure in this pic of the Batman & Robin movie figure in yellow & clear purple. That yellow/violet Batman is hideous. I remember when Batman & Robin figures came out and I thought the orange/black Heat Scan Batman was the coolest thing

There was the Fuji film mailaway which was the black & orange heat scan Batman, but in all black. Which was the best Batman figure released from that movie. And then it was released again in the kMart JLA line in black with the Superman MoS lines Cyberlink Batman's head. Also a nice figure. As far as Mattel figures go the worst Batman had to be the yellow Battle Sled Batman in the bottom right

Taking it off? Completely off? Or completely off with battle damage? I have the first and made my own of the second. But I would have loved the third For MOC display the cowl needed to be off, loose display taking it off.

^ Do you mean this one from Mattel? I don't consider Hot Toys figures "action figures" because they are so high end...and not "mass retail". But they probably are the best and once they release an Adam West I will buy my first. lol To answer the question - I love the DCUC Series 1 figure. He's most like the Batman I grew up with in comics & cartoons in the 70's/80's. It is d@mn near perfect figure. Now that being said I think my "favorite" Batman is the 2003 SDCC Batman - If he had the DCUC articulation it would be a tough choice between him and the DCUC Series 1 as the best Batman released. I'll always have a soft spot for the Mego Removable Cowl Batman as it was the Batman toy I grew up with. Also I always loved the LotDK Dark Knight Batman figure from Hasbro - And last but certainly not least the McDonald's BtAS Batman figure. I've carried one in my pocket with me every day since I picked it up at McDonald's. How it looks now -No not that one. The one im talking about came out at the same time as the old Xman toys. In fact the Xmen figures were the same size as the Batman im talking about.

Do you mean the Toy Biz Batman based off the Keaton movie? If so I wasn't a fan of that sculpt. But let me also add(I can't believe I forgot to mention this) the old Super Powers Batman was and is a great figure. He's in my "Top 5" for sure. And until the Barris batmobile is released for a figure line(HT) the Super Powers batmobile is by far my favorite batmobile in a figure line

I think that is the one Milincoln was talking about. I didn't like the head scupt on Batman but the Robin was nice as it was pretty much a Kenner's Super Powers Robin. There was also a version of that Toy Biz Batman that used the SP head, but I never saw that one...just the one with the fugly head sculpt.

I had that one when I was younger and loved it. I loved the belt cause I would play/pretend batman was using his belt to go up. Im going to attach a pic of a set I picked up a while ago. It looks great but I've never opened it.

these were my first Batman & Robin figures growing up. Ill always have a soft spot for them That Batman figure was so frickin hard to find back in the day. I remember a package under my tree that I thought was that figure only to open it and find that it was Bob the goon. Probably my worst Christmas memory ever. lol. If I remember correctly, Kenner took over the line and Batman was a little more readily available and actually looked like Keaton so I ended up with that one. I did eventually run into the Toy Biz Batman as well and got it just for the sake of getting it since the hunt was so long. I never really played with it though because the face looked awful and the Kenner figure seemed so much better to me.

My favorite batman figure ever right there. Along with my favorite Robin figure ever. But I do like the dc direct two pack that was a homage to both these figures as well for modern figures. But none beat the kenner action figures.

Im sure I will get a lot of disagreements here, but I think the first DC Direct Batman is amazing. It was the figure based on JIM Lee's HUSH storyline and captured this art style perfectly. Yes, there have been more articulated, more detailed figs to come, but something about this fig has always remained a favorite. The Hush Batman is my favorite as well. When I read the topic I actually said Hush out loud. Then I saw your post. No disagreement here.

We are in good company Bob! Funny, thats my name too! LOL
You guys know what is really great? we are all from all over the world yet we can all come together to discuss our love for something as simple as Batman. Discussing the variations and favorite figures. This is just awesome. Ive been a member here for a few years and can never remember a time when there was not a Batman thread on this board.

I remember getting it right when it came out. Then I dropped it and it broke into pieces but I was able to replace it right away. I never realized how lucky I was to get that figure so easily.

But none beat the kenner action figures. After my Mego's that was my favorite Batman up until Mattel took the line. It's still my favorite 4"-5" Batman figure. When they announced that line I so wanted that to be my "main" Batman, but when it arrived I was very much let down. I hate the DCD semi-preposed figures. What is the opoint of giving a figure any articulation if it's not going to look right in any other pose?! If he was just in a basic vanilla stances he'd have been great. But if you look at the figure straight his left leg has a thunder thigh because his quad is located in the wrong spot. NOBODY and I MEAN NOBODY stands the way his legs are positioned without one of their hip being dislocated. That left leg ruined that figure (And the 3 rerelease of that figure I did buy) for me from ever beeing a favorite. When you have him posed at an angle it looks great but once he is moved from that angle/pose it's ruined. I tried everything to fix it on the double I bought of it and in the end I decided to put the head on a Mattel figure.

But none beat the kenner action figures. I'm with you on that one. Mego Batman and Robin were my first ones, but the ones from the Super Powers line were my favorites. In fact, next to G.I. Joes and Star Wars, Super Powers were my favorite toy line ever. The Batman from Toy Biz was a pain in the ass for me to find too. I was about 13 at the time, and my mom was pissed that I was making her drive me around to look for a toy. After a few weeks I finally tracked one down at the Woolworths at the mall, and was able to nab it. Before that it was just mountains of Boob the Goons. Funny how it's always the opposite now. Mountains of Batman but no villains.
