^ But that will cost a lot of money just to build the figure It is expensive but at least it's a shot, you do have the chance to get it if you really want it...in many cases it's either that or it won't exist. Also it may help move some otherwise shelf warmers and keep new series shipping, which is a win. Gotta take the good with the bad sometimes. Would you rather have a chance to build Teddy Long or no Teddy Long at all? BAF is great for collectors that buy the whole set, like me. Lets say you don't like the whole set, you can still get the pieces from trades here or eBay. Michael Cole which is a TRU exclusive is selling on eBay for about $40 shipped which is about $10 bucks a piece. If this is a regular BAF in regular Elite lines, it's not going to be hard to build it. Plus you can also buy the figure you don't like and sell it and just keep the BAF part. I can't see BAF pieces going for more than 10 bucks each after a while but you can't wait too late because once stores stop carrying the series, prices will rise after a year or so. But this is all wishful thinking. I don't think Mattel will have the budget to put BAF in regular Elite lines unless it's a TRU/Kmart/Walmart/Target store exclusive but one can only hope they do like the DC line!

How much difference in price were the Cole BAF series than regular elites at retail? I ask because I'm in the UK and we didn't get them at retail.
If they were the same price I think it's a possibility we'll see Long/Lauranitis as BAFs in the regular elite lines.
Also, he was very clear in saying that soft goods cost a lot to make so maybe going forward we'll not get any soft goods and instead we'll get a set of arms or a torso. I certainly wouldn't mind that.
But for them to do that, they've got to sort out the number of figures per case and not have another Kevin Nash situation because just imagine most of the collectors having a Teddy Long with one arm or no head.

I would luv BAF in every elite series like Marvel/DC did. Not going to happen as they are always complaining about the cost. Heck it sounds like they can't afford to even give us shirts w/ the figures anymore.
The TRU BAF's were like $4 more than a regular elite. I really want more info on Teddy/Johnny. They say they are 2013 BAF's. They do the TRU BAF line in the fall........so do we have to wait more than a year for them??? Will one be in the spring? Will they be TRU exclusive??? So many questions.
Especially since its not like they had Ricardo Rodriguez to show us at last years SDCC. Heck we didn't even know who it was till a month ago......now all of a sudden they're showing us 2 BAF's for next year?

Happy one of mine got asked, but yeah the questions in general sucked.
With the exception of 2 questions, everything was just 'is X getting a figure?!'. People need to come up with actual questions next year.

The thing with Tim is he's just a big fan/collector himself, so I think he asks the questions he wants the answers to. I could be totally wrong and someone else on the team chooses the questions, but that's the vibe I get.
I'd like follow up questions. Tim asked about the Elite Teddy/Laurantis. That's brilliant, it was a question nobody could have asked as we didn't know they were going to be shown and Mattel have said suited figures don't sell.
Mattel answer by saying they'll be released in 2013. Tim then moves on. Even if Bill would have said "wait and see" or "we can't say right now" then at least he tried to get an answer, but I feel we still don't know much about them at all.
He also asked about if a stage was going to be released when it was in the cabinet on display!
