WELL SINCE Austin Aries is No Doubt taking "his vitamins".. the jakks (jakked) figure looks Perfect.. i'm just happy he's the champ.. i know how bad he has worked, and how much effort he has put into his craft.. great time for young indy guys when the WWE Champ is Punky & TNA Champ is Aries...

I really cant wait for this figure, The more i watch double A the more i want this figure, Anyone else think we might get a diecast belt with it? At least a painted belt I think diecast is possible. If Jakks is far enough along in the new tna belt mold, they might include that too.

I find it funny how people scream at Jakks for not having up to date figures. So what happens? TNA gives you an up to date Austin Aries with his proper boots and people want him to have kick pads which I don't even think he had in this current run with TNA. Aries has been wearing kick pads in TNA since at least September 2011. The figure is based off Aries debut/return in June 2011 from what I can tell. Since the kick pads have been his look for the last 10 or so months, I think most people feel like they would be ideal.

Damn it! All those people predicting failure on this figure may not have been that far from the truth. I loved the protos so much, I ordered 2 of these when they first went on sale. Now RSC has posted loose images and MOC images and the figure is not as good as proto. The thing I despise about the figure is app paints on face. The proto is painted brilliantly. It captured Aries. The figure it self has this ridiculous look on his face now. His eyebrows make him look curious!!?!?!? C'MON! Then his shorts are sloppily painted. Look at the hem around his thighs. Bad customizers on WFigs paint better while having an epileptic seziure. His lips I'll reserve judgment on. They might not be as bad as they pics show. But the protos did not show giant pink lips. I know standard complaints about the belt not being metal....which would be nice, but the painted one is reasonable. Complaints about the vest being just a pink cloth one and not actually furry is valid. But again....doesnt ruin the figure. It shows utter cheapness/lazyness by Jakks....but again, it can be worked around. The packaging is stellar. The tattoo cutout on the back of the package is a nice touch. But I am quite disappointed. It just seems like the figure was slopped together, especially when the proto was so masterfully done.

It's just the headscan paint and hair texture that is off tbh.

Other than them doing his hair differently I really don't see a difference when I do a side by side.

The eyebrows are WAY off. The original proto forward shot is no longer up. But if you remember it, you can see a big difference in his expression. Also, the shorts. I am usually a big supporter of Jakks and can see past some of the shortcomings. But some of it is beyond excusable.

I think it looks great, especially the presentation of the packaging. I think the vest is a little underwhelming, and the eyebrows are definitely different, but I don't think anything was particularly lost in it. I'm just excited to be getting this figure at all though.

I'm one that always prefers the final product to the paint master, personally. I hate action figures that have painted faces, and have always preferred being cast in color. I think the molded details pop better.
My fiancee is very bad at keeping secrets and she spilled some beans that she had gotten me a figure on accident. The only two figures I have mentioned about wanting were the S.E.S. CM Punk and Austin Aries, so one or the other is getting ordered after my birthday comes.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the way the final product came out but hey, what can we do?
