No, i love the flashbacks. I would've rather had a legends line, but we know why we cant

I like the Flashbacks. I'd rather have Yokozuna and Bossman than Uso A and Uso B. I think the current balance (which seems to be 3 flashbacks per 2 elite series) is fine. Agreed, I would take 2 FBs per every Elite line but with the variations like Nash I think Mattel has it relatively figured out.

So we can cram more shelf warming Ortons and Del Rios into the line ups? Kane, Shango, Edge, Booker and Boss Man have all been the best selling guys from their respective line ups (well, Rhodes might have Edge beat), and Yokozuna and Nash will be the best selling from their line ups. If anything we need MORE Flashbacks in a 3-3 mix

The current roster already has LOADS of Basics and Battle-Packs - and already quite a few duplicates in the Elite line... the last thing we need is LESS Flashbacks(!). Ideally I'd like a 3-3 ratio - but realistically, at least 2 Flashbacks per series would be cool... maybe an 80's/early 90's guy (eg. Papa Shango, Big Bossman, Yokozuna, Diesel etc.) and an earlier version of a current or more recent guy (Kane, Edge, Booker, Nash...) in each set.

I wish every other series should be all flashbacks. Then next all current. Lets flashback people and current collecters wallets a break.

After 11 series, most of the main roster is already out anyway so I don't think that the Flashback's take away from much. There's only about 20 or so figures left to complete the current roster...And half of them are probably low of most people's list. (Wrestlers like Damien Sandow, Camacho, and Johnny Curtis come to mind) Personally, I'm happy to see the Flashbacks added into the assortments. If Mattel would throw out more debut figures per series, then I'd be inclined to agree that FB's intrude on their release schedule but that doesn't seem to be the case. Most of an Elite series is now made up of repaints/updates with only one or two debut figures, if that. Mattel is pushing more Punk/Orton/Cena/Mysterio/Undertakers rather than guys like Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. You can argue that FB's are just making it harder for those guys to get a slot but thankfully, Mattel seems to be realizing that they need to stop overpacking the top guys in every series. Hopefully this will lead to more balanced assortments in the future. My ideal Elite series would include:
1 Top Star 1 or 2 Debut 1 or 2 Updates of Superstars that haven't shown up in a long time (Like Jericho, Drew McIntyre, or HHH) 2 Flashbacks
Popular (or, at least, visually appealing) characters like Brock Lesnar, Lord Tensai, David Otunga, and Funkasaurus Brodus Clay will definitely show up sooner than later, so I don't worry about them. For now, I'm happier to see King Booker, Debut Kane, Big Bossman, and Yokozuna instead of Darren Young, Sakamoto, Ryback, or Titus O'Neil!

Anyone Else Wish Flashbacks were........... 4 per series and 2 Elites Haha, believe me, I'd be fine with this. There are still tons of Legends to be made, and we generally only get about 2 new Elites worth having anyway. Which of these two Elite lineups sounds better? John Cena The Rock The Undertaker Alberto Del Rio Big Boss Man Booker T Big Boss Man Booker T Earthquake Mick Foley David Otunga Lord Tensai

Flashbacks are good for the elite line, if they were taken out you would just get more of the same repeat figures of the current roster that have already been released or lower mid carders who wouldnt be able to sell elite figures.

First.
I don't like FB cause I don't collect Legends, but I know there are other collectors so I guess it's ok. I just don't like the idea of them taking up 2 spots in the main Elite line because they couldn't sell before. It sucks for guys like me who collect current guys and have to wait longer for superstars we could've gotten the series before because 2 spots are FB's. I'd rather there just be 1 FB spot.

We all like what we like and don't like what we don't like but Mattel is trying to give a little awesomeness to everyone and keep everyone happy, and for that I applaud them, and hope it continues..
.... NAILED IT

How about this for a system:
Even numbered series: 4 current superstars 2 flashbacks
Odd numbered series: 4 current superstars 1 flashback (or 2 variations of same wrestler with minor changes, eg Diesel/Nash) 1 debut nobody (like Tyler Reks)

I collect both Legends and Elites, provided either is a wrestler I actually like. The problem isn't that the Flashbacks are taking away spots from debut wrestlers, IMO, because most of the Flashbacks so far have been debut figures, except for Edge and Kane, and even Kane is such a different gimmick that it's arguably "new." I'd rather see more variety and less repeats in Elites. It's understandable when someone looks drastically different (Cena in different colors - he is the face of the company right now, CM Punk's changing looks, Cody Rhodes' different personas, "King" Sheamus), but guys with slightly different trunks deco like Rock, Del Rio, Miz, and Orton are absolute wastes of valuable spots, IMO.

Flashbacks exist because Legends didn't sell well at retail. Hopefully Mattel will restart the Legends line or something. This

Anyone know the Legends who were signed by Mattel? I remember seeing last year or 2 the line up having the Rougeau Brothers, Magnum TA and others. I prefer the 2 FB & 4 Elite. The more double Rey, Orton & Cena; the more $$ in my pockets as I won't buy them & buy others I can afford. I would like to see one FlashBack in the basic series (similar to WM & Rumble Heritage I think), along with one Diva per series.

Flashbacks were its own line. It was called Legends and it didn't sell well in stores, so now they have to mix the figures to get them onto store shelves. It makes good sense. I would not want them to stop. I like current Elites and Legends and will continue to collect both.
