I think they should make John Cena purchase all the unsold John Cena figures. It would only be fair. Maybe as part of the divorce settlement, his soon-to-be ex-wife should get all the unsold John Cena figures. At $15/figure that is still a lot of money.

The thing about the Autograph signing idea is that even if those figures clear out, Mattel will assume they are selling well and produce more Cena, Ortons and Reys.
Mattel still doesn't grasp the idea that boys don't buy the same figure over and over again like girls do with barbies, this is the same mentality that killed the 200X MOTU line, as they flooded the pegs with He-Man and Skeletor and later again with those godawful Snakemen Battle repaints.

I really hope they are honestly going to reduce the ratio of Cena in a case like they said they would. I can understand short-packed characters but I don't understand why there would ever be the need for 4 of the same figure in one case.
Cena is good to have around for the kids, I can't argue that. Every time I'm in a toy aisle with other people around I here an adult "Hey honey, there's John Cena", or usually a little kid shouting "JOHN CENA, JOHN CENA!" I just don't know how to justify 4 per case like with B15. The TRU here opened 4 cases overall of B15, and only a few Cena figures sold leaving a whopping 12 or so, in addition to the 10-12 Signature series ones, equaling one incredibly slow burn. It might truthfully be until Christmas before they are gone.

That would be a pretty sweet idea.
