3 Stores, 1 City: This will make you laugh...

So I felt like stopping at a few stores on my way home...I've been seeing reports that Basic 18 is hitting Targets in my area, and I'm still on the hunt for Brodus....even though Mondays are the worst days, I just felt like stopping

The City- Swansea, MA
The Stores- Target, TRU, Walmart

The Find-


81 John Cena figures between the 3 stores. With the most being at TRU (58)

Majority were Best of 2011 & Best of PPV, but there were sprinkled in some Elite 11, Signature Series & Flex Force

there are also 35 Reys sitting at the TRU...mostly Signature Series & Best of PPV

at TRU, 2 pegs full of nothing but best of 2011 Rey & Cena
1 peg full of B17 & Signature Series Rey
2 pegs full of Best of PPV Basic Cena
another 2 pegs full of Elite Best of PPV Cena
etc etc.

its a sad sight, taking a picture just didn't even matter to me. i just left wondering how the hell something like that could happen.
Also funny is that there were like 10 Randy Ortons sprinkled in (Best of Elite & Signature Series) and then 1 BOPPV Elite Daniel Bryan & 1 HHH

this is the problem with Mattel... I can't find an Elite figure after Elite 6 but those pegs are damn sure full of Basic Cenas.

That sounds like some of the stores in my area aswell. The tru near me has a full peg of the BOPPV Cena.

I saw alot of them as well today and recently, but not nearly that many. I remember having a tough time finding them as Jakks figures at times..

ya all the stores ive been too are loaded with john cena figures. it used to be legends 2 packs and hall of fame, now its just the cena army taking over the shelves. retails not an option anymore at all.

Experienced the same problem today. It's nice to see my TRU shelves stocked for once, but it's really just an illusion since most of the figures are of only 3 different characters (Cena being #1).

Shockingly, Legends 2pks seem to have officially faded from the shelves. I noticed only 2 left at 1 location, and none at the other. Hopefully these Cena figures don't linger for nearly as long.

Thats because TRU just had a Buy One get One free sale on these. The sale might still be going on. I would suggest taking advantage as you can get 4 figures for 20 bucks, and you probably wont see the bushwhackers or orton/piper again in the line. Would probably be great for customs too.

Yeah, I knew of the sale. But sadly I only need the Bushwhackers, and those have been sold out for months at my local stores. They disappeared during the last sale TRU did on the 2pks.

Terrible. Cena believes in rising above the hate but that aint possible when I found B18 the other day with no hunico, no cara and 3 cenas in a section of 4 figures in total. Our slection here has been abysmal to say the least with no elites after series 8. Then finally a new basic set hits and it disappears so quickly. Our selection is seriously only rumblers and flexforce on about 2-3 pegs with no space for anything else. The section shrinking to this was enough but no elites and scarce and non consistently stocked basics, its terrible. In addition to online prices being jacked up everywhere.

Man that freaking sucks. I feel your pain, each time I step into Tru or Walmart, if it's not Rey, Orton, or Big Show, the toy aisle is littered with cereal boxes =/

That's so drastic... surely after things like this happen, 1. Mattel might think about not producing as many Cenas/Reys and 2. Retail stores might also not want Mattel to produce too many of these guys with the way the shelves are clogged..

My TRU in the UK isn't exactly full, it's pretty good though but again, majority filled with, you guessed it; Cenas and HHH's
