My neighbor's house was raided a few years ago. I think it was a drug bust.

On my street is a drug dealer (or atleast used to be, he is atleast still a strong user) and a lad who is in jail for attempting to hold up a post office. Don't speak to the drug dealer much but the guy in jail was usualy alright, he'd always say hi and see how you were doing, he went to the same primary school as me, just a few years older. But yeah, I've grown accustomed to the police being around this area, not so much since he was jailed.

I was sleeping on the couch in a friend's house that got raided once. Not a fun experience. I thought we were getting robbed. They beat the door down with a battering ram and I was on the couch just inside the door.. that is what I woke up to. Had guns to my head. Got cuffed. Got questioned. Got pushed around for no reason. I started running because I thought someone was breaking in... I am lucky I didn't get shot. Also - I was the only person who didn't get arrested. They (the authorities) did however steal all the cash out of my wallet. Is that even legal?

My friend who owns the house had thousands of dollars in cash in his closet. (We were all bartenders at the time so always had cash on us from tips) He tried to get his money back and was unsuccessful. I don't know the details of WHY they can do this.
