@benurich - I always like the Metallic Blue attire for some reason, more so on the Jakks BCA figure as it was my first Billy Gunn figure of him. I remember it was the "Signature Series" and I just remember being a huge Billy Gunn fan & loving that figure the most. I wanted to create that attire into a custom for just that reasoning, but I do plan on creating more of his other attires as I have 6 Elite Billy Gunn's I have picked up. He has been the easiest of the E27 series for me to find outside of the Undertaker in it. Your reference pic is now saved to my computer so I have more ideas to work with, but is there a way you can get the backside or "ass" side of those so I know what the attire looks like all around? Roman Bellic - Ok, I do have that RA figure of his. I just wasn't sure if there was something you might've been going with when you brought it up as far as the look. If I remember correctly, it's your standard lips attire with "Mr. Ass" on the back. Also, where the hell are you getting all these Road Warriors boots from?

@benurich - I have a few of the Road Warriors from trades, eBay, or the few I picked up at retail. I kept one of each MOC for my collection, but in total as far as loose of the Road Warriors, I have 7. I don't plan on using all of the boots for Billy, but I am in talks with someone on having the boots resin copied for future projects.

Great looking protos kse... It's funny how an attire can become iconic to someone just by a previous figure release

@zombieapocalypse - Thanks man! Yea, it's just that hint of nostalgia for me with this figure. I remember going to Toys R Us with my Grandma when I got it, which was always fun because she bought wrestling figures for herself. She was a collector of a lot of things, but she had a pretty cool wrestling figure collection which had MOC Warriors, Hogan's, & her favorite, Shawn Michaels. She used to buy wrestling figures just to have at her place so when I or my cousins came over, we had figures to play with. Oh how this could easily become a long story, anyway, that Billy was my favorite figure of his and was my WWF Champion back when I played with them. I remember using his other attired figures for matches when he wasn't defending the title, but when it was PPV time, that's when this Blue attire came out. I know @benurich isn't a fan of the attire itself, as it was pretty plain & only had designs on his knee pads & sadly was the only attire used in WWE '13 for him.

@kse, it's funny you mention that. The pink version of that same attire was my first Billy Gunn attire. Once they put out the green lips one, I did a storyline where after winning the IC title, he went off book and said he was better than that, and that he deserved to be a real champion. He ended up becoming my WWF champion and defended it against people like Undertaker, Stone Cold, The Rock, until ultimately losing to Shawn Michaels. He was still probably my most successful WWF champion, since he's the only one who beat Undertaker in a casket match, Stone Cold and The Rock in a triple threat cage match, and Mankind I a hardcore match that he ended up winning after throwing Mick off the couch and performing a splash on him.
Yeah, I was a pretty big Billy Gunn fan back in the day.
And now I'm all nostalgic and want to play with BCAs, so thanks for that.

@benurich - You can come over & I can bust out my storage bins of BCA's & we can kick it old school. LOL. I loved about the Billy Gunn figures was that he had that big leg with awesome boots mold designed just for him. The green attire is one of my favorites as well, which I feel Mattel nailed. I really wish Mattel would've done the boots more accurately so I didn't have to use Road Warrior boots. I don't have a problem sculpting other boots to look like his so I can keep my Road Warriors intact as I have plans for the Road Warrior figures other than Billy's use. I do want to make the Blade Runners after watching the Warrior's recent DVD & they pretty much wore the exact boots & were a knock off of Hawk & Animal.

Here are just a couple of the pieces I have in the works. I have a table full of half way done customs, but I figured these would be fun to show..

rustyy - I'm still figuring out the plan for him with that. Not sure which route I'm going just yet, but he's looked like this for over a month now. The Rig - I had my Rusev planned for a while, I just had to wait for another Bruno a few weeks back to start him.

So this is still a WIP but Im very happy with how it came out I just couldn't wait to paint it.. More sculpting is needed for sure, its not entirely accurate. Plus I didn't want to cut off the chains bc they're not easy to remove. Mattel would be stupid not to release this, but given that E28 HHH comes with the helmet molded in gold Im not sure how likely it is. In any event, be gentle lol. I love this! I wanna make one now

I'm not trying to one-up you or anyone who has or will make one. I just like making figures & the customizing mindset when seeing him on tv was that a Bruno figure would be perfect for him. Yours has a really good likeness to his head & face, so don't sell yours short at all. I think yours was on the smaller side, but you did a really good job on him.

Your ego is out of control, which is why you're never humble or compliment anyone else's work. And, jeez, talk about being mean. That's why we don't ever talk to each other. Don't worry, man, I don't think there's a single person on here who's ever thought you tried to show them up. In fact, I'd bet no one in this entire thread has a negative word to say to you.

What do you guys think, duggan or Brock torso for bubba ray? For sure a Duggan. If you were to say his ECW days when he was pretty chubby, I would say Dusty all the way. Bully is a good size guy, but I don't get the Lesnar body for him other the shorts and calves. Which makes me wonder why they give Lesnar such monstrous calves? Lesnar honestly doesn't have calves close to that or anything proportionate to his upper body. I would like to see the Duggan torso for this though. I think people go for Brock because he's going to give you the overall girth of a Bully Ray vs a flabby torso, it's not saying that Bully is as jakked up as Lesnar but the mass is similar. Now if you're making BUH BUH Ray Dudley then I would use a fatter toros for sure. As for the calves, it's an action figure it just extenuantes his mystic of being a beast. For Bully the exaggerated calves work since it plays to his calfzilla gimmick. Here's a bully ray I made a while back DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS? Was between Lesnar or Cena for the body, muscle wasn't much of a concern as I was trying to capture overall size, I ended up going with lesnar, with wade barrett arms, Road Dogg's shirt, Abyss's Toybiz shirt I went for simple and effective. May eventually purchase a shirt from an online figure clothing store in the future, but for now I'm happy with it.
