This may be a dumb question, but is a UK DVD region free? Can it play on US DVD/blu ray players? IIRC UK DVDs are Region 2 while US, Canada, etc. are Region 1. I think one of the only ways to get a Region 2 DVD to work in the US is to change the Region setting on your computer/laptop in order for it to play. And with doing that, you can only switch it back and forth like 5 times before it stays on whatever setting it was last. You can play UK DVDs on a US laptop using VLC player, none of the changing 5 times before it locks out. I think thats only if you're using Windows Media Player. But i noticed these WWE Magazine exclusive DVDs (Kofi Kingston from 2011 and Best of Main Event) in the UK are region free but are still in PAL format, so regardless you need a region free DVD/Blu-ray player.

Here's some confirmed DVD releases for the rest of 2014. www.wrestlingdvdnews.com/confirmed-wwe-dvd-blu-ray-titles-2014/69417/The Attitude Era II & Macho Man - The Randy Savage Story should be good. I'm glad Savage is finally getting a documentary release; woulda been cool if they coulda got the documentary DVD out back in 2009 when he was still alive instead of the match comp that we got.

So here's what I'm seeing as the full disc listing for Sting's DVD. Since purchasing the Network I haven't been paying attention to much of the stuff being released in the stores since most matches were usually from PPVs. I notice on this set most matches later in his career are from Nitro and Thunder, and a lot of his earlier matches are from things not available on the Network, which gives me reason to purchase it. Have they been doing this lately on DVDs?

Damn the Sting set looks sick, definitely picking it up when it's out.

The Sting set looks like it'll be pretty good. I wish the main feature was an in-depth documentary though and then bonus discs with matches...but a release like that may come down the line.

I think the WWE has figured out that to keep DVD sales up, they need to release these comp DVDs with matches that aren't on the Network. I for one am all for it.

Going out later today and I hope my local FYE has put the Heyman DVD out early. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

I seen the new Great American Bash DVD at K-mart today. was immediately thrown off by Sting and Flair on the cover, and no large WWE logos. The Kmart I was at is pretty odd and hasn't changed since the early 90s. Literally, everything is exactly the same as it was since I was a kid. If I wandered back to where the wrestling figures are and found BCA figures on the shelf, I wouldn't be surprised. I didn't get it because I couldn't remember if I had it or not, since I didn't remember it at all. I was in a hurry and couldn't really look at it either.

That box set does indeed look good with the shirt, sunglasses and bandanna. The only crappy thing is that I already have the "Macho Madness" match compilation DVD so I'm not sure if I wanna double dip.

I'll probably stick to the Savage BR release. I too alread have the Madness match comp. But I really want it for the documentary. I'm going to TRY to hold out for the Heyman documentary to be added to Netflix, but I'm not sure I can wait that long!

Does anyone else find it pretty awesome that Heyman's Blu-Ray is not only #1 in sports on Amazon, but it's actually backordered (at a pretty high price no less.)
