MAPLE LEAF WRESTLING “A STORM IS BREWING: NIGHT 2” JUNE 11, 2011 RESULTSMuch like last night’s event, the show started with Lance Storm welcoming the fans to another action packed night of Maple Leaf Wrestling! He then announced that tonight’s opening contest would feature the St. Louis Connection, made up of Devin Curtis and Evan Pagano, matched up against the debuting tag team of Incoherence, featuring Hallowicked and Frightmare. St. Louis Connection (Devin Curtis & Evan Pagano) def. Incoherence (Frightmare & Hallowicked) with the 450 SplashTonight’s opening contest, albeit not as good as last night’s, was still a solid, entertaining match. Incoherence, working as the faces, got the crowd going early on, toying with the St. Louis Connection. Fed up with their antics, Devin Curtis and Evan Pagano brutally attacked their opponents and it did not stop there. For the majority of the match, the STL Connection gave Incoherence everything they got, and even attempted to rip of their masks. However, this only made Frightmare and Hallowicked angry. It looked as if their newfound momentum to carry them to a win when Hallowicked hit the Go 2 Sleepy Hallow on Pagano, but Curtis made the save. A minute later, Curtis hit the 450 Splash on Hallowicked for the victory. After the ring was cleared, Petey Williams and Tyson Dux made their way out to the squared circle to voice their opinions on Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs. The two made it very clear that they were not going to allow two rookies to disrespect them as they did the night before. Halfway through the promo, Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs entered with a disgusted look on their faces. Waiting for the boos to die down, Mike Bockwinkel took a long look at Williams and Dux and then asked, “You expect to respect from us?” He explained that both teams were at the same level in Maple Leaf Wrestling and there are no such things as vets or rookies in MLW. He continued to trash Petey Williams and Tyson Dux until it was too much, as Williams and Dux attacked Bockwinkel and Jacobs. The two teams brawled once again until referees and security broke them up. Lance Storm then made his way to the ring and announced that Petey Williams and Tyson Dux will face Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs in a no disqualification match tomorrow night! The crowd went wild in anticipation for tomorrow’s big tag match. Drew Parkland def. Silversun with the K.F.C.The Canadian luchadore Silversun had an impressive debut here in an exciting match against the redneck Drew Parkland. From the get go, these two put on a fast pace, highflying match that had the fans on the edge of their seats. Perhaps the greatest part of the match was Silversun’s Asai Moonsault, which nearly ended the match due to a count out. However, with the two back on their feet, the match continued until Parkland got the better of Silversun and hit the K.F.C. Both Drew Parkland and Silversun both have the potential to be big stars in MLW. *Intermission*Upon returning from the intermission break, Lance Storm announced that the next scheduled events for Maple Leaf Wrestling would take place on June 24 in Red Deer, Alberta, and July 1 in Calgary, Alberta, as part of the Canada Day festivities. He added to watch out for news and updates on www.stormwrestling.comMLW Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Finals: Chris Hammers def. Safu Anoa’i via DisqualificationHere was the match of the night, as Chris Hammers and Safu Anoa’i put on a hard-hitting, entertaining performance. To the surprise of many, the Samoan savage did not dominate in the early goings, as Chris Hammers held his ground. However, after hitting a giant Samoan Drop, the tides turned and it the bout was soon in favor of Safu. That was until Hammers managed to counter a running knee strike by sliding out of the ring. Hammers now looked to be in the driver’s seat as not only was Safu’s knee hurt, but also he soon became fatigued. Hammers continued to work the knee and soon grounded his opponent. It was now time to attempt the Shooting Bat Press, but as Hammers stood at the top rope, Lou Glamsley ran in the ring and lay on top of Safu. Angry, he tossed Glamsley over the ropes and tried to hit the finish, but instead, Safu attacked Hammers with a chair that was handed to him by Glamsley! As the referee signaled for the bell, Safu continued to annihilate his opponent until Glamsley calmed the monster down. Despite losing the match, Safu looked stronger than ever. After the ring was cleared, Lou Glamsley announced the creation of Glamsley Enterprises, which was made famous in Minnesota based promotion Twin Cities Wrestling. He stated that tomorrow night’s show would host the first of two tryout matches for the first open spot in the group. MLW Heavyweight Championship Tournament Semi-Finals: Kevin Hart def. Jin Yamato with the Maple LeafA somewhat disappointing main event but it still managed to get the fans on their feet. Nearly the entire match was back and forth with neither man getting ahead of the other. When Kevin Hart hit a German Suplex, Jin Yamato would return with a Full-Nelson Suplex. But despite the great action, there was just something missing. The fans were into it, the wrestling was superb, but the match just did not have the main event feel. After a solid twenty minutes of wrestling, Kevin Hart finally got the advantage, making the Calgary fans very please, when he hit the 450 Splash. However, Yamato would kick out just in time, forcing Hart to lock in the Maple Leaf. After being stuck in the hold for a good amount of time, Yamato finally gave up and tapped. As the show came to an end, Kevin Hart and Jin Yamato displayed a sign of respect by shaking hands. Yamato then raised Hart’s hand as the crowd began to cheer loudly. Tomorrow night’s event will crown the first Maple Leaf Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. Will it be Chris Hammers or Kevin Hart? NEXT SHOW: “A STORM IS BREWING: NIGHT 3” JUNE 12, 2011

Yeh graphic, loving Incoherence making an appearence since thier great. Stange how you went with both established teams in MLW being heel (Bock and Jacobs/ St.Louis), Parkland a highflyer? thats strange but nicley different, great to see Hammers go over and Safu looked real strong in defeat, Sad Jin lost but it was a good match and to a good oppenent. Maybe you need more matches? you have the amount in tallent to do it so why not add some matches. Good luck and keep this up.

MAPLE LEAF WRESTLING “A STORM IS BREWING: NIGHT 3” JUNE 12, 2011The third, and final, Maple Leaf Wrestling opening weekend event kicks off with the owner, Lance Storm, welcoming the fans. He runs down tonight’s card, which features the first Glamsley Enterprises Tryout match, the highly anticipated no disqualification match between Petey Williams and Tyson Dux and Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs, and of course, the main event for the MLW Heavyweight Championship with Chris Hammers taking on Calgary’s Kevin Hart! To close of the introduction, Storm announces tonight’s opening contest will be a six-man tag team match. Before entering the ring, Devin Curtis and Evan Pagano of the St. Louis Connection sang an ugly rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, garnering some cheap heat. Jason Williams, Jin Yamato, and Silversun def. St. Louis Connection (Devin Curtis & Evan Pagano) and Lord David Smith with the Psycho DriverThe good opening matches continue with this very exciting six-man tag team match. The heel team consisting of the St. Louis Connection and Lord David Smith took on Jason Williams, Jin Yamato, and Silversun in a match that really got the crowd pumped. In the early goings, the St. Louis Connection, plus Lord David Smith, dominated. However, when Silversun got the crowd going with his highflying style, the momentum shifted to the fan favorites. They would eventually be victorious when Jason Williams hit the Psycho Driver on Devin Curtis. After the ring was cleared, Lou Glamsley and Safu Anoa’i made their way to the ring. On the microphone, Glamsley explained how the two Glamsley Enterprises tryout matches would work. In each match, Glamsley will hand pick two wrestlers and of the two victors, he will decide which had the best performance and the lucky winner will be a member of Glamsley Enterprises. Glamsley Enterprises Tryout Match: Drew Parkland def. Cody Rejero with the K.F.C.Not a beautiful match by any means, but it did get the job done. While Rejero could have easily won the match, his baby face mentality led him to avoid Glamsley Enterprises. Because of this, the match seemed thrown together and did not make much sense. However, Rejero was hand picked by Glamsley, so the decision was against his will. Nevertheless, Parkland looked strong towards the end and ultimately picked up the victory with the K.F.C. At ringside, Lou Glamsley looked very pleased with Parkland’s performance. *Intermission*Before the second half of the show got started, Lance Storm made the announcement that the next show in Red Deer, Alberta, on June 24 will feature a 6 team round robin to crown the first ever Maple Leaf Wrestling Tag Team Championship. The teams will consist of MLW stars but also top independent teams as well! And speaking of tag team action, the first of two main events is next! No Disqualification: Petey Williams & Tyson Dux vs. Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs went to a No ContestIn what was probably the best match in Maple Leaf Wrestling’s very, very short history, Petey Williams & Tyson Dux and Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs took each other to the limit. Using anything they could get their hands on, these two teams annihilated each other, making it difficult to find a clear-cut winner. After less than five minutes, the first blood was drawn when Tyson Dux hit Nick Jacobs with a vicious chair shot to the head. The hardcore action continued when Bockwinkel hit the Bockwinkel Special onto the steel stairs. Despite the toll taken by all four of these men, none would be able pick up the win. After a solid 25 minutes of action, neither of the teams would answer the ten count, calling for a no contest. With all four men lying motionless in the ring, the referees and paramedics ran down to help assist the bloody and beaten men. It took awhile for the ring to clear, but when it did, the fans cheered the wrestlers for putting on a great match. With the main event just minutes away, Lance Storm walked down to ringside holding the shiny Maple Leaf Wrestling Heavyweight Championship in his hands. He waited eagerly for the entrance of the two finalists. MLW Heavyweight Championship Tournament Finals: Kevin Hart def. Chris Hammers with the 450 SplashWhile no disqualification tag match was tough to beat, this match was damn close. From start to finish, Chris Hammers and Kevin Hart had the Calgary fans on their feet with many false finishes and overall exciting action. However, what really got the fans crazy was the charisma oozing from the two wrestlers. Hammers and Hart had the fans eating for the palm of their hands, which really carried the match. With a good 20 minutes passed, Hammers looked to have sealed the deal with a Blood Rush. But to the surprise of many, Hart managed to kick out and fight on. Eventually, Hart hit the 450 Splash and got the one-two-three to become the first ever MLW Heavyweight Champion! Following the conclusion of the match, Lance Storm entered the ring and handed the Maple Leaf Wrestling Heavyweight Championship to its rightful owner, Calgary’s own Kevin Hart! With the crowd still cheering, Hart celebrated with the fans. Meanwhile, Hammers began to pound on the ring, followed by abruptly jumping the guardrail and storming out of the venue. The show closed with both Kevin Hart and Lance Storm thanking the fans for the support and promising them to bring even better action next time! NEXT SHOW: JUNE 24, 2011

Great opener, suprised to see St.Louis and the Lord lose since they are all big characters, the Glamsley open was a little strange from the write up but glad to see Drew in there hoping he adds a few more members and makes them a force to be reckoned with, loving the tag team tourney should be intresting can see one of the big two winning, didn't Lance condemn TNA's use of chairshots to the head but that doesn't matter, no contest is decent setting up another bout hopefully with an even bigger stip, great to see Hart take it as it is fitting can see him as a great champ, good luck and keep this up.

Loving how your doing everything over three nights. It would be really intrested if you kept that out thoughout. Can't wait to see who you pair together and who you bring in. But the obvious choice is put the belts on Jacobs/Bock or St. Louis. Good luck and keep this up

Loving all the teams announced, sad that Incoherence are not part but it would mean less sign-up characters. Loving both the new teams in Silversun/Generico and Lord/Star but can't see either of them lasting after the tournument. Could see Jason and Cody pulling off the win. Good luck and keep this up.

MAPLE LEAF WRESTLING “TAG WARS: PART 1” JUNE 24, 2011With the Red Deer, Alberta fans ready for some Maple Leaf Wrestling action, owner Lance Storm entered the ring to welcome them to “Tag Wars.” He explained how the round-robin tournament would work; it will consist of six teams that will face each of the other teams. After five rounds of action, the duo with the most wins will be crowned the first ever MLW Tag Team Champion. The tournament would start with Petey Williams and Tyson Dux taking on the luchadore team of El Generico and Silversun. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Petey Williams & Tyson Dux def. El Generico & Silversun with the Canadian DestroyerThe tournament got started with a very exciting match. With both teams being fan favorites, it was a fun and friendly match up. The teams battled back and forth early on, but after El Generico and Silversun hit a double suicide dive to their opponents, thinks were looking up for the dynamic tag team. However, the veteran team of Williams and Dux were able bounce back and ended up picking up the victory with a Canadian Destroyer to Silversun. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: St. Louis Connection (Devin Curtis & Evan Pagano) def. Jason Star & Lord David Smith with the CallingOn paper, this was a decent match, but for whatever reason, it did not deliver. The stiff, European style of Jason Star and Lord David Smith just did not match well with the highflying, fast pace style of the St. Louis Connection, and it showed. Nevertheless, STL Connection managed to get some insane heat throughout the match, which definitely helped. Other than that, this match was below average and a disappointment. Pagano would hit the Calling for a STL Connection victory. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Can-Am Express (Cody Rejero & Jason Williams) def. Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs with the Rejero BombWith the crowd on their side, the Can-Am Express dominated Bockwinkel and Jacobs. The momentum carried them through the match and ultimately the upset victory. It also did not help that Bockwinkel and Jacobs were still somewhat battered and bruised from their no disqualification match almost two weeks ago. Nevertheless, Rejero and Williams used whatever advantage they had to pick up the win and cause Bockwinkel and Jacobs to argue after the match. Bockwinkel and Jacobs had better hope they get their act together. *Intermission*MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Petey Williams & Tyson Dux def. Jason Star & Lord David Smith with the BrainbusterDespite being worn out from their match earlier in the night, Petey Williams and Tyson Dux managed to pick up their second victory of the tournament. However, at the beginning of the match, the Brits Jason Star and Lord David Smith dominated. Things got back on track for team Canada when Williams hit a Hurricanrana from the top rope. After a somewhat sloppy second half of the match, Dux hit the Brainbuster on Star to get the three count. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: El Generico & Silversun def. Can-Am Express (Cody Rejero & Jason Williams) with the 180 Flying ForearmTo cap off the show, two cruiserweight tag teams faced off in what was sure to be an exciting bout, and indeed, it was. These four men were flying throughout the ring, from head scissors to flying crossbodies. With this great highflying action, the crowd was hot, cheering mainly for the Can-Am Express. The only real downside to the match was the multiple botches, which is expected when performing at such a fast pace. Overall, this was easily the match of the night, and really sent the fans home happy and wanting more. It all ended when Silversun hit the 180 Flying Forearm on Rejero and then getting the pin. Before the conclusion of the show, Lance Storm came out and announced the current standings for the MLW Tag Team Championship round robin. Petey Williams and Tyson Dux currently lead with two wins, with three teams tied with one win. Here are the full standings: Team | Wins | Losses | Petey Williams & Tyson Dux | 2 | 0 | St. Louis Connection | 1 | 0 | Can-Am Express | 1 | 1 | El Generico & Silversun | 1 | 1 | Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs | 0 | 1 | Jason Star & Lord David Smith | 0 | 2 |
The action continues tomorrow night with the next five tournament matches! NEXT SHOW: "TAG WARS: PART 2" JUNE 25, 2011

Intresting how this round robin works out since theres bout to be some heel vs. heel bouts. I see Silversun pulling down Generico in this tourney, glad Petey and Dux won but can't see them winning the belts, glad the lads from St.Lou won but upset about the match, I don't see both Pagano and Curtis as just highflyers would have thought they could wrestle well with the Brits, Jason and Cody over the my favourites to win the title is huge great job of booking that upset on the first night, not overly happy with guys having to wrestle twice and then 5 times over a 3 day period is asking a bit much, really happy that you main eventing on such a strong tag match and Generico and Sun picking up the win spreads the tourney right open, good luck and keep this up.

Chris Hammers Reportedly MissingAccording to many sources close to Maple Leaf Wrestling performer Chris Hammers, his whereabouts following the night of June 12 are currently unknown. During Kevin Hart’s victory celebration, Hammers abruptly left the venue and has not been seen or heard from since. Many of his family and friends are very worried about Hammers’ well being. Please keep Chris Hammers in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry I did not get into this off the start, and if you ever need a new character, you have permission to use the Cameron Stone name, make him whatever you need in regards to face/heel and wrestling style, so if you need/want more superstars, just go ahead and do that if you want.
Night 2: Good opening contest, good finish ot the bout, good to see the faces lose to begin with, adds a nice feel to the show. Good segment here to get things built up, the No DQ tag match should be great. Solid match, the KFC is one of the best finisher names ever lol. Being from Calgary, I love the fact that I can follow this wirh where the shows are, and feel more like this could be real. Glad Hammers advanced, and a new stable, always a good idea. Good ending to make a good final match.
Night 3: First off good opejing recap, you've done a really good job in making the final night of opeing weekend seem like a huge deal. Good way to start the show with a 6 man tag. Agreed, was weird to have a face tryout for a spot in a heel stable. Good news on tag titles. And what a great tag match, having the countout after 15 minutes means people got a good match, and they also got a good build with the feud, which really worked. Good title win to have a Hart win it in Calgary. Cannot get much better.
Tag wars Part 1: Always a good start to a night having such an insense match, and usin the canadian destroyer. No luck for my bot David Smith! Good mathc though. Surprised Jacobs and Bockwinkel lost, thought with williams and Dux winning that they would have as well, surprised me here. NO LOVE FOR SMITH! Damn lol.

MAPLE LEAF WRESTLING “TAG WARS: PART 2” JUNE 25, 2011The show began with Lance Storm welcoming the Red Deer fans to part two of “Tag Wars”. He then read the standings following the first five matches of the round-robin tournament. Currently, Petey Williams and Tyson Dux have two victories, while the St. Louis Connection is in second with one win and no losses. With two teams tied for third, Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs and Lord David Smith and Jason Star finish the standings with no victories. Tonight’s event will begin with the St. Louis Connection taking on Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs def. St. Louis Connection (Devin Curtis & Evan Pagano) with the Bockwinkel SpecialAfter a poor start to the tournament for Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs, the duo bounced back in day two with an impressive showing against the tough team of the St. Louis Connection. Early on, it appeared that Bockwinkel’s and Jacobs’ issues would continue, but after a missed 450 Splash by Devin Curtis, the two had a surge of momentum. They continued to dominate until Bockwinkel finished Evan Pagano off with the Bockwinkel Special. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Petey Williams & Tyson Dux def. Can-Am Express (Cody Rejero & Jason Williams) with the Canadian DestroyerHere was a competitive, yet friendly, match up between the favorites, Petey Williams and Tyson Dux, and perhaps a sleeper team, Can-Am Express. The majority of the match saw the veterans dominating, but Cody Rejero and Jason Williams did not give up and eventually came close to picking up the win. However, with their experience, Williams and Dux were able to bounce back and get their third victory with the Canadian Destroyer. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs def. Jason Star & Lord David Smith with the Cattle MutilationEven though the in ring action was well above average, the lack of crowd support really made this match poor. With a heel team taking on another heel team, the fans sat their quietly, creating a huge void in the match. Despite this, these two teams managed to pull of a good match that can go on the under rated list. The match consisted of a lot of hard-hitting action, mainly due to Jason Star and Lord David Smith’s European style. The nightmarish tournament would continue for the Brits, however, as they suffered their third loss, this time at the hands of Nick Jacobs’ Cattle Mutilation. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: El Generico & Silversun def. St. Louis Connection with the BrainbusterWhile some may say this was nothing but a giant spot fest, others will say it was one of the most entertaining matches on the card. Immediately as the bell sounded, these four men were jumping around the ring likes monkeys, displaying some of the best cruiserweight action you can see in North America. However, the match seemed to be cut short after Evan Pagano suffered a minor injury on a suicide dive. This injury played a major part in the outcome of the match, as Devin Curtis to fend for himself, which eventually ended up in him getting a Brainbuster from El Generico. After the match, Evan Pagano had to be assisted out of the ring by his partner, Devin Curtis, and the referee. It looks as if he injured his ankle, but it does not appear to be too serious. MLW Tag Team Championship Round Robin: Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs def. Petey Williams & Tyson Dux with the AneurysmTwo of the biggest rivals in Maple Leaf Wrestling squared off in tonight’s main event, as Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs faced off against Petey Williams and Tyson Dux. The atmosphere was intense and the crowd was red hot, making this match even more special. The teams got the action started quickly, brawling throughout ringside, and beating the daylights out of each other. After the referee got things back together, the bell officially sounded and the match was underway. While the actual wrestling was somewhat sloppy because of the amount of matches these two teams have had in one night, it was very entertaining and got the crowd on their feet. Unlike their previous match, Bockwinkel and Jacobs were able to get the best of Williams and Dux when Jacobs hit the Aneurysm, a Gonzo Bomb, after countering a Brainbuster from Dux. With the second night of the round-robin tournament concluded, Lance Storm announced the updated standings: Team | Wins | Losses | Mike Bockwinkel & Nick Jacobs | 3 | 1 | Petey Williams & Tyson Dux | 3 | 1 | El Generico & Silversun | 2 | 1 | St. Louis Connection | 1 | 2 | Can-Am Express | 1 | 2 | Jason Star & Lord David Smith | 0 | 3 |
The current leaders are Mike Bockwinkel and Nick Jacobs with three wins and one loss. The duo possesses the tiebreaker due to their victory over Petey Williams and Tyson Dux. Tomorrow will have a major impact on who will be crowned the first ever Maple Leaf Wrestling Tag Team Champion. NEXT SHOW: “TAG WARS: PART 3” JUNE 26, 2011
