Has the World Heavyweight Championship gained more value and prestige than the WWE championship since recently New Wrestlers have won it like The Miz and Sheamus? And Veterans who have been in the Business for over 10 years have gained the World Heavyweight championship like Edge, Kane, and Rey Mysterio.

not really. i'd say no matter what its a little lower as long as WWE treats Smackdown as the B show. and with a faulty title reign from Jack Swagger, a meaningless reign from Edge and an improperly finished reign by Kane its still not that great.

no. As long as the WWE title remains on RAW and the WHC remains on smackdown, the WWE title > WHC title IMO.

The titles are props, nothing more now. It means nothing to be the champion in my eyes these days.

I guess I largely agree with the people that say the prestige is gone. There can't ever really be "the guy" when it always has to be "the guys." That being said, I think Kane did a ton for the WHC and he got a really good run regardless of how stupid I thought him dropping the belt to Edge in that fashion was. I am really high on Jack Swagger and I think he should have gotten a better go with the belt, and I think Miz is doing a good job with his title.
My problem, is just how these guys are booked with the belt. If you look at the ROH title it actually means something to win that belt because guys wear it forever. WWE should learn, or rather go back to that imo. Say what you want about Kevin Nash's run as Diesel but they did it right. He won all three titles inside of a year and he was a main eventer 4Life after he lost the belt to Bret. I just wish they would have that type of faith in other guys. The prestige of the title is all about how the belt and its champion are booked and that just hasn't been done right in a very very long time.

I am always going to believe the WHC is a better championship than the WWE championship. The WHC values more to me.

i will always view the World Title as second rate next to the WWE Title. could care less who the champs are. WWE Title is the title.

you make some good points in your argument as to why we should do that! I think the World Championship itself was a credible belt until around the time Rey won it for the first time and jobbed his way through the reign, and then King Booker took it off him after Chavo Guerrero of all people cost Rey the match. After that it kind of went down hill for me, as the WHC has been passed around like a bit of a hot potato, with no reigns lasting six months that I can remember.

The titles are props, nothing more now. It means nothing to be the champion in my eyes these days. Let's part the curtain, here, and admit to ourselves that the titles have ALWAYS been props to elevate or reward hard-working and/or rising talent. Did Hogan deserve the title in the '80s? Was he the best, most capable person for that belt, or was he the most popular, most profitable star the company had at the time? It's no different now than before. The only thing that's changed is the casual viewer's attention span, which explains the shorter reigns.

Almost on everything on Raw comes across cartoony. So yes, the World Title is the more prestigious title IMO. Especially considering how ridiculous the WWE Title looks. that spinner belt.

it has gradually meant less and less, ever since they split the titles.
