The top title on RAW is the most prestigious nowadays.

I don't really think so.
They both had a lot of crap reigns in the last 5 years so I don't think their is much prestige really.

Just as Miz made the spinner belt feel important again, I believe whenever Ziggler gets the WHC he will bring prestige to it much like he made the IC belt finally mean something since the 90's.

no, tittle's have no prestige now as they're props to push stars! they once had it but not since say 80'S?90'? definately not in the new melenium in my opinion.... Despite the bad grammar and spelling, I definately agree with tthis.

Maybe I'm alone here, but it all depends on the feuds and the talent. If you ask me now which belt means more I'd say the WWE title but that's because Edge doesn't need it and Miz has been an interesting talent to watch.
Now, if we compared the two previous champions I'd say the former World Heavyweight champion placed higher for me than the former WWE champion Randy Orton. Orton wasn't providing anything we hadn't already seen from him while Kane was initiating a stage in his career he really hadn't reached before and his run could have ended at any point so it was suspeneful for lack of a better term.
Bottom line, the wrestler or storyline defines the importance.

Almost on everything on Raw comes across cartoony. So yes, the World Title is the more prestigious title IMO. Especially considering how ridiculous the WWE Title looks. that spinner belt. Bingo. I think SD has been the better show for a long time now, and now that HBK is retired and HHH is on hiatus, I think Raw is a joke now. And not that its a huge point, but the spinner belt was a custom WWE title for Cena. That would be like if they replaced the big eagle belt with the smoking skull belt after Austin lost the title. Bring back the undisputed, big eagle, winged eagle or even a new belt to replace the current one that's on par with the butterfly divas title. And I've read a lot of you bashing how the WHC has been terribly booked at times and passed around a lot, and you're right. But the same is true about the WWE title. The WHC has had some great reigns in the past couple years like Jericho's when he was feuding with HBK, or Taker's during his feud with Edge. Weren't that long reigns, but I prefer quality over quantity. And there were some horrible reigns. What really disappoints me is when they cut short what could have been great title reigns like when Jericho retained the belt last year at WM as a heel, something rare and would of pushed his reign to something unforgettable, but instead right after he wins at WM they job him to that Swagger jobber (nothing against the guy, he just wasn't ready to be champ). Kane's title run brought back some prestige to the belt with his Taker fued, but then him losing it so anticlimactically did the opposite. The point is that both/all titles have ups and downs (i.e. Benoit, Jericho, and Orton's epic IC title runs, and recently poop to where the US title is more prestigious), but I judge the prestige mostly on the fueds its used for as a prop. The WWE title being passed from Cena/HHH/Orton with Sheamus and Batista thrown in there once in a while has really soured the WWE title's prestige. Eventhough I'm not a fan of Miz, I'm glad he's champ to mix up the same formula for that belt for the past few (haha) years.

it has gradually meant less and less, ever since they split the titles. Good. Maybe if the title means nothing, there won't be anymore discussion about who never "won the big one." Especially from the wrestlers themselves who constantly complain about not getting a title run. I must be the only one who watches wrestling for the wrestling. Watching it for the champion is like, well, watching football for the champion and ignoring everything else going on. It just seems so silly to me.

I do believe that the WWE Title still has some prestiege to it, but no the WHC.
Ever since 2006, the WHC has had ALOT of bad reigns, from Rey Mysterio and Jack Swagger being jobber champions, to The Great Khali being given a run w/ it, to many short reigns from Edge, Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, and Taker. King Booker was the last person to have a decent run w/ the title IMO.
The WWE Title has been treated somewhat better IMO. While Cena's long reigns from 2005-2007 may have been boring, atleast his long reigns made the title seem important again. Triple H had a good, long reign in 2008 that also made the title seem more important. Hardy and Edge having quick, short reigns didn't help it, and 2009 was a terrible year for it, w/ the title literally switching hands at every PPV. Sheamus having weak title runs wasn't good either, but Orton and Cena have kept the title credible this past year IMO. The Miz being champ is the only person that I really question holding the WWE Title in probably the last 5 years. He just doesn't have that "It" factor to me. Besides that, the WWE Title is still more prestigious IMO.

since its been shuffled between cena, edge, hardy, punk, and undertaker for the majority of 2009, and other people took the title over in 2010, i would say so. having kane as the world heavyweight champion for 5 months in 2010 was something different too.

I really don't understand some of the current fans. They claim that the title is passed around too much and then whenever a reign lasts a long time they say it has become 'stale' and someone else needs to win it....

I wouldn't say so. The way I see it is they both have the same value and prestige just one is for the Smackdown brand with the other being for the Raw brand. But giving the World title to The Great Khali and Jack Swagger were mistakes IMO.

They claim that the title is passed around too much and then whenever a reign lasts a long time they say it has become 'stale' and someone else needs to win it.... It all depends on who has the title. For example, Cena had the year long title reign from 2006-2007. While it did make the WWE Title seem more prestigious, it got bland fast because Cena just isn't that interesting, and his feuds and matches w/ guys like Umaga, Khali, and Lashley wern't that good. On the other hand, Triple H had an 8 month WWE Title reign in 2008 that fans generally enjoyed because Hunter, as a face or heel, is more interesting than Cena. It just depends on who has the title.
