why not say goldust as it is dustin rhodes. all you need to do is get the scan repainted

The RA scan looks quite a bit like Dustin when it's repainted..

i was hoping for a late-WCW CS dustin figure but nope they never made one.
the RA goldust head looks odd when painted skintone cos of the kissy-face expression. i'd love to see what the basic mattel goldust head looks like in skintone.

I remember somone used a Goldust head for a Dustin custom, I believe it was Titantrap Ive got one as well (probably not as good) but like mentioned above, it looks weird cause he's blowing a kiss. Im not sure if any of his later scans were straight faced but it would work better. |

For some reason, I remember a Jakks 2 pack with a Goldust BCA that was half Goldust, half Dustin in the face. Maybe that's just the Advil or the meth talking though...
Upon further review, it does exist. 2 Tuff Series 1 w/ him and Marlena. Need to go a lot lighter on the hair though if the database pic is any indication...

This figure was fun to make. I bought the straight-faced Goldust on Ebay, and the seller sent me the “kissing face” Goldust. I had to modify the head, as I was running out of time. The top of the head is Goldust, and the bottom portion is a heavily modded Joey Styles. The vest was Razor Ramon’s vest, which I painted white/red, and added the red leather fringes. The boots are from Barry Windham, and the body is a Best of RA Ric Flair (with the hands switched out).

oh these are awesome, so they used the goldust scan? If I'm not mistaken, Ax used the top of a Goldust head and the bottom half of a Cody Rhodes head. It looks magical. I'm going to keep the Kissy-faced head though for my custom, because Dustin used to make that face during his matches abd before he delivered his bulldog finisher. |
