I am kind of shocked people are so excited as being honest I wanted a 80's/90's Sting for years and that scan is ing terrible. The whole set is average at best I know people are pleased we have gotten protos but I can not be the only one who thinks this is a poor start to the series. Hey man its cool if there not your cup of tea but my personal opinion is generally wrestling figure fans are very fickle...and it seems to be in for some to bash bash bash... not you peticularly but i seen some folks get foolish with it...like some threds devoted to claiming howard finkle and gean oakerlund were identical heads repainted... i give it another year and some will devote whole threds to how if (Place name here) dosent have exactly 146 individual eyebrow hairs going from left to right ill never collect again...lol frankly no toy company will ever et things perfect to many different tastes out there... it sucks that they not fitting in with what your looking for man and i hope that changes but for me im excited about sting,id like stiener 2 if they put him back... i dont need nash or angle and with a different face the hair and the body head to toe would be a good texas tornado i think... honestly standing in a toys r us in 1986 when i finally got my hands on a ljn king kong bundy i wasnt thinking oh this one has white wrist bands...its so inaccurate ill never collect ljn again..typical ljn crap or thats ljn for ya... my thoughts were simple, buy him bring him home and work a angle between him and studd fudeing after bundy accidently knocks studd out of a battle royal...lol anywho hope the line gets more interesting for ya man .... and on the other side of the fence with the fickle ones nobody forcing you to buy things ya dont want...lol my motto simple...if i like em, i save up and i buy em...nothing more nothing less:)

Why do you guys want the balloon head figures? why do you want the ugly sculpted mattell figs? both companies have their faults.. That's funny both companies use the same sculpters. The sculpter who posts here ever so often said they'ed get work from Jakks and Mattel as she had posted many of her Mattel scuplts from Mattel's other brands. So I'm sure now that Mattel has the WWE license they are now working on the WWE brand for Mattel now also.

Besides the torso I'm not sure if they were the right boots either for Sting. Just regular boots would have worked better.
It's weird cause Jakks loves the screaming scan, and uses it at times that it doesn't necessarily work. Yet Sting would be one that it might have looked great for and he is strait faced.

I am excited for Sting,Hogan, and Jarrett for display reasons. I am all for brand new guys or alternate scans/personas to appear on my Jakks side of the room. The Nash is acceptible as is Angle...just not very exciting. I do agree that Sting would have been 1 of the small handful of wrestlers who could benefiet from a screaming scan. Why Jakks missed that boat I have no idea.

Sting wore lace-less boots similar to the Road Warriors. So I fine with the tall kicker, because I hate when they give guys who didn't wear them the laced boots. Plus seeing these heads look like they were originally scaled for DI's and not the RI's they are on the taller kickers help make the head look more in scale with the body.

i agree 100 percent PJ...
i think as the line continues we will see a few different heads for sting... the wcw just toys bend em sting had a closed mouth face also and didnt hinder my enjoyment of him...
that and sting has had so many colorful combos that im sure we will see more of him...
until they make a shorter boot mold that looks like the tall kick pads, the tall kick pads for guys like sting are the best way to go.

Laced Boots would NOT have worked for Sting.he never wore them.
nothing annoys me more than Jakks doing that.the tall kicker was the ONLY option here.

We didn't care about kick pads and accuracies back then. Why...because we had something called "imagination". When we bought LJN's, we had to wrestle with Ted Dibiase with his full suit on...with MONEY in his hand. Did I cry and complain, no I just pretended it wasn't there and didn't matter. Maybe you kids can Google "imagination" and read up a little about the past

I could complain about a few things but I will not. Instead I will focus on the positive. I am very excited to see the Sting and Hogan figures. I also like the Jarrett figure (kind of). Looking forward to see what else Jakks has in store.

same here.
I wasnt going to get Angle and Nash anyway(although Nash could be good for an earlier version with a headswap....)
I was here for Sting and JJ and was pleasantly suprised to see Ill be picking up instead of JJ

Ive looked over these figure again and honestly. Im getting more and more impressed as I look.
-Sting needs a torso swap. He looks fine as is but I would rather have him in a ripped CW.
-Nash makes for a PERFECT Vinnie Vegas
-Im passing on Angle and probably Hogan.
-but the surprise is Jarrett. The more I watch Memphis wrestling on Youtube the more I like this figure. I think the problem is the hair color. I can very easily fix that though and I think this figure will look above average when completely finished.
Now lets hope we can get some titles with these guys. TNA or NWA world title for Angle. IWGP title with Hogan (wishful thinking), NWA TV title with Sting, one of the memphis belts for Jarrett

yeah I googled imagination etc and to my suprise it said I should be able to imagine that my figures look like the source material.just like Hasbro LOD were were more accurate than Jakks forst 2 attempts in CS.
believe me-I was really really suprised.

But is it really THAT big of a deal if Evan Bourne is smaller then Randy Orton yet is still ripped enough to look like the incredible hulk? Mattels arent perfect, neither are Jakks.
