PTW Presents: Voltage October 19, 2011Pre-Show Notes:- In general, PTW officials are pleased with the build to Big Time Legacies. One major qualm about that show is that there was too much build and that the full card was announced too early. Big Time Legacies is set to air on pay per view on November 5th and PTW officials agree that the full card shouldn't have been announced so early. PTW is looking to fix this mistake in the future and it can be blamed on eager writers (aka me).
- With the emergence of several Twitter accounts of PTW wrestlers, PTW owner Marc Henson has begun to eye Twitter with intentions of potentially using Tweets in storylines. The main reason Zeke Walker and Jason Williams are facing off tonight is due to their recent Twitter war.
- The only feud that PTW is not completely happy about heading into Big Time Legacies is the Zeke Walker/High Horror feud. Officials feel that the storyline hasn't garnered a lot of attention despite having two big names as the centerpiece. Expect the feud to end relatively quickly.
- No news out of PTD today other than underrated talent Eddy Valintino beginning to get a lot of attention. There is word that Valintino could very well be the man who gets the call up as Jason Williams' next tag team partner. Valintino has been added to the list of several candidates for this position.
Main Show: "Before I Forget" cranks throughout the arena as Max Shillings and Matthew Hayhurst welcome the fans to the show. They hype tonight's main event, as well as Josh Borne, Mike Bockwinkel, and Zeke Walker all in singles matches tonight.
Mike Bockwinkel def. Chris Jackal after hitting the Bockwinkel Special. A decent match to kick the show off, but these two men didn't really click at all throughout the match. Jackal looked strong though, getting in plenty of offence on the cocky Bockwinkel. However, Bockwinkel controlled the fair portion of the match. Jackal fought with all of his might, but Bockwinkel won after hitting the Bockwinkel Special.
We go backstage where Hikari is with The High Horror. She asks Horror about the next match which features Jason Williams taking on Horror's arch rival Zeke Walker. Horror says that Walker will have his hands full tonight. He talks about how Walker is willing to use any excuse to not give him credit for being a great wrestler. He says come Big Time Legacies, it will be known that The High Horror is not just a stepping stone.
Zeke Walker def. Jason Williams after a roll up and handful of tights. This was one of the better matches of the night. Sparked from a Twitter battle, these two really went all out in this contest to prove who was the better man. In the shocker of the night, Williams was able to really get control of Walker throughout the entire match, with Walker being the one who had to fight back. It went as far as Walker having to counter several Psycho Driver attempts from Williams. However, his last attempt of the move was his downfall as Walker was able to wriggle out, roll Williams up, and escape with the cheap win with a handful of tights.
Hikari is backstage with Justin Tyme. Tyme is asked about who his possible partner tonight could be in the main event. Tyme looks at Hikari and laughs. He says that it was completely obvious who his partner would be. He talks about some of the greatest teams in PTW history like Coast 2 Coast and The Golden Boys and then mentions that they are utter failures compared to the team of Justin Tyme and this man. Just then, Cypher walks in and Tyme says that Beauty and the Beast reunite for one night only.
The same video that was shown last week hyping PTW's first ever cage match. It shows that apparent fear that Mike Bockwinkel has and both Josh Borne and Mike Bockwinkel beating on one another from various shows that they have faced off in the past.
Josh Borne def. Cody Rejero with the Re-Borne. A really good match that showed that the potential feud here could be great. Rejero is one big push away from being able to challenge for the PTW World Heavyweight Championship as he shows that he has all the talent needed in this match. Rejero and Borne went back and forth for a good 10 minutes before a winner was decided. Borne almost seemed to be looking ahead to the Cage Match with Bockwinkel, but he soon got his focus back and hit the Re-Borne to get the momentum victory here.
Kevin Hart is seen backstage. Matty Manson once again tries to approach Hart. Hart speaks up before Manson can even get started. Hart makes it completely clear that Manson does not intimidate him. He says that now that he knows how to beat him, Big Time Legacies will be the downfall of The Family once again. Manson stares, dumbfounded at the guts of the young Hart, before walking away.
The Golden Boys def. Drew Parkland and Jack Richardson after hitting Parkland with the Lost in Space. A solid way to put over the PTW Tag Team Champions here. Parkland and Richardson made for a really good makeshift team here. There is potential for an actual teaming if you ask me. This match, however, was used to showcase the high flying skills that Alex Star and Jason Night have. The match ended relatively quickly when the champs hit Parkland with the Lost in Space to get the win.
After the match, Jason Michaels and Safu Anoa'i ran out to the ring and attacked The Golden Boys. They threw Night out of the ring and really focused on Star, a reversal of last week. After beating down Star for a while, Michaels hit the Monster Bomb to really leave Star down. Night ran into the ring with a steel chair to prevent any more damage, but it was too late.
PTW World Heavyweight Champion, Connor O'Reily, is being interviewed. Before Hikari asks a question, O'Reily says that he already knows what she's going to ask. O'Reily begins talking about PTW and the history that it has had. He mentions how a couple of years ago a particular Table's Match stole the show at the first ever Red Letter Day event. That was when X Jack walked into the room. O'Reily then talks about how he and X Jack have a huge history with each other, but they have worked out their differences and look to take out Beauty and the Beast tonight.
A video is shown, hyping up the feud and future PTW World Heavyweight Championship match between Connor O'Reily and Justin Tyme. It shows how Tyme has clearly had O'Reily's number in the past few weeks and how O'Reily has tried to reverse momentum recently. It mentions how only one of these men can walk away victorious at Big Time Legacies.
Beauty and the Beast def. Connor O'Reily and X Jack after Tyme hit X Jack with the Tyme Slip. A great match for the main event that really showed how good the talent challenging for the New York State Championship really is. X Jack and Cypher were both at each others throats, but generally Cypher used his size advantage to ground the much smaller X Jack. When O'Reily and Tyme got in the ring, O'Reily seemed to want to beat on Tyme more than win the match. That was what really cost him as X Jack blind tagged O'Reily, who was then clotheslined by Cypher. X Jack went for a springboard attack on Tyme, but Tyme shockingly hit the Tyme Slip while X Jack was in midair to get the big victory.
Beauty and the Beast celebrate their win as O'Reily checks on X Jack. It is clear that the two singles champs are going to have to watch their backs going into Big Time Legacies.
