Received these this week and wanted to share pictures. First... a LJN Toys Merchant's catalog. It's a big catalog that has about 20 pages of WWF stuff. Bought it mainly because it had pictures of the Unproduced British Bulldogs Bendie Set, Rock N Wrestling vehicles and the Mean Gene that would have come with the ring. also... Mat Mania AWA Remco "Playboy" Buddy Rose. Had him Loose already, but always wanted him MOC aswell. I am also still en route to replace all of my loose Popy figures for MOC ones. Still need to find Dory Funk Jr. and Bob Backlund, but did managed to replace all the others. Last receiving is Abdullah The Butcher. My loose one will be for sale, either through the classifieds or on eBay. (drop me a PM if interested btw). PLMK what you think.

Wow, that is some great stuff that should have come out. I would have killed for the vehicles and mototcycles. I do not see the Mean Gene figure Stom mentioned, though. I have the ring, but does anyone have the ropes. Mine are are about 2 feet too long.
The Buddy Rose and Abdullah are fantastic figures.

I've really grown to appreciate the Popy figures. Hogan, the Giant, Inoki - fantastic!

I always thought that the bulldog protos looked like different painted Piper and the proto pic of the corp kirschner figures.
very cool magazine nonetheless.

The Bulldogs there are Orndorff and Piper repainted. Here is another great prototype shot taken from the awesome site Gartwo's Bendie Mecca.Notice that the different Bobby Heenan is also a repainted Piper. As far as I can tell, Beefcake and Steamboat are both Orndorff.

isn't it hilarious that Popy made a better Abdullah figure in like 1980 than Jakks did in 2007? The very first wrestling figures are made better than recent "premium line" figures

The very first wrestling figures are made better than recent "premium line" figures Japanese skill will always triumph over U.S. technology... Just wished Popy hadn't painted a black mustache and goaty; makes Abby look more like Oliver Hardy.
