Nice write up, I enjoyed it and gives some good background on a guy we never really got to know until now.

Some news and notes:
- The website will be updated sometime this week, and I'll probably put up a section for power rankings. It will also have a list of all active tag teams in the roster section.
- RVD signed a short term deal with the company and will likely not see WWA action again any time soon. Storyline-wise, he did not "earn a contract" because he and Punk lost the tournament.
- Northern Combat will be pre-empted this week and air on Thursday night. Plans are in the works to officially move WWA's Northern Combat on FSN and WF.com to a new night and time, though nothing is set in stone and nothing likely will happen for sure until after Wrestlympics, which is now just over two weeks away! Change of plans, NC should be up tonight!

Website is fresh and updated, including a nice ad for Ringside haha. Just trying to make it a little more legit looking. Everything is basically the same except the archive and rosters are updated.

Swagger Says "No" to CWE
Despite an urging by WWA Commissioner Dean Malenko, the former WWA Pound-for-Pound Champion of the World, Jack Swagger declined an invitation to appear on CWE's next episode of Showdown. After disparaging the CWE and defeating Shawn Michaels on Northern Combat Eps. #4, Swagger was invited to appear on Show Down #8. Here is his full response:
"No, I have no interest in appearing on CWE at this time. First of all, I just defeated the best they have to offer. I have NOTHING to prove to them. Secondly, I have a very important match to prepare for. Next week, I win back my Pound-for-Pound World Title and become a two-time, two-time Champion of WWA. Maybe, if the CWE can find some actual competition for me, I will appear in the future, but until that day, I'll be just fine on WWA."
After the remarks by Swagger, Malenko added, "I'm very displeased with Jack's decision. I saw this as an excellent opportunity to continue a growing relationship with the CWE. I hope that, despite Jack's actions, our relationship will not sour because I would like to work with CWE again in the future."
Lt. Commissioner Matt Striker offered no comment other than to add that he felt, "Jack was right to focus on WWA right now."
UPDATE: Malenko to visit CWE This Week
The fallout from Jack Swagger's denial of CWE continues as the CWE threatened to pull out of Wrestlympics. In hopes of making things right, WWA Commissioner Dean Malenko will go to CWE this week and speak to CWE Vice President Harley Race personally. Malenko would like to salvage the relationship between the companies. The Commissioner spoke today, live from the site of tomorrow's WWA house show in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
"I just want to explain to Mr. Race that Jack's opinion of the CWE is not the opinion of the WWA as a whole. We respect what they are doing over there as we do with all of the federations on the WrestlingFigs network. As I said before, I hope that this situation will not sour our relationship with CWE and other companies, and I would like to keep the CWE's representation in Wrestlympics if at all possible. I wish it didn't have to come to this, but I will travel to CWE ShowDown next week and make things right."
Malenko left for the airport almost immediately following the press conference, leaving Lt. Commissioner Matt Striker in charge of tomorrow night's WWA live event. What will the fallout be of Striker being in charge? What will happen when Commissioner Malenko appears on ShowDown next week? Wrestlympics is just around the corner, and business is picking up!

Major WWA Web Site Update Coming Saturday
Following Night #4 of WWA's Wrestlympics on Saturday afternoon, the WWA web site will see a major update. We can not confirm what all will be involved with the update, but it is widely believe that tomorrow afternoon's press conference in Nashville may have something to do with it.
We can also confirm that WWA will return to PPV on April 11. The title of the pay-per-view will be announced sometime during the Wrestlympics broadcast, which begins TONIGHT as Nights #1 and #2 will go online on the WrestlingFigs.com network.

Post-Wrestlympics News & Notes
- Dean Malenko has hired a private security force known as the Grey Shirt Security, who will be with him at the return of WWA-Northern Combat in two weeks.
- Drama between the CWE and WWA is expected to continue. Because Lt. Commissioner Striker allowed Shawn Michaels to compete at Wrestlympics, Commissioner Malenko is restricted in the legal acton he can take, but after he cost Brock Lesnar the championship, it appears that we have not seen the last of Shawn Michaels in the WWA ring.
- As you may have seen on the finale of Wrestlympics, Jonathon Coachman has made his return to wrestling as an interviewer. He was said to be very excited to get back in the action. You also may have noticed that Brent Musberger was not on the final night's broadcast. He has been re-assigned as the play-by-play man for Southern Warfare, alongside "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.
- The Hart Dynasty has been re-assigned to Southern Warfare.
- Dolph Ziggler and the Miz have been released from their contracts. We wish both of them the best of luck in future endeavors.
- More cuts and moves are expected in the near future.
- Rumors are swirling that Hulk Hogan wants to be a part of WWA, though it is unknown if the feeling is reciprocal. Stay tuned.

Dean Malenko announced today that on next week's return of WWA-Northern Combat on WF, we will have the first ever WWA First or Famine match! The winner of the match will receive a title shot in their division, but the fate of the losers will rest in a random draw: if they're lucky, their job will be saved, but they may be sent to Southern Warfare, they may be fired, or they may even become a WWA referee! The athletes that will be invited to compete in the match are the two men at the bottom of power rankings in their respective divisions, they are: Heavyweights: Charlie Haas & John Cena Welterweights: Matt Hardy & Ted DiBiase, Jr. Cruiserweights: Chavo Guerrero & Cody Rhodes The action does not end there. The former Pound-for-Pound Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar, will get in the ring on WWA-NC's return to the airwaves, but more importantly, he will also speak for the first time since Shawn Michaels cost him the gold at Wrestlympics! Also on the show, we will hear from the new WWA World Champion, Paul Burchill, the new Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger, and the new #1 Contender, Randy Orton. And last but not least, rumors are swirling that Hulk Hogan may be at the arena to try and earn a spot in WWA-Northern Combat! Stay tuned!

A couple more updates:
"Feast or Famine" will be a pair of triple threat matches, pitting one heavyweight against one welterweight against one cruiserweight. The two winners will earn a future title shot in their division, and the four losers will be put into the random draw for future positioning.
Southern Warfare commissioner "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be on-hand to make a few announcements regarding his brand's debut on March 7, and some of his roster will compete on WWA-X, our internet pre-show, so be sure to tune in for a preview of WWA Southern Warfare.
All that and more next Wednesday on WWA Northern Combat.

WWA-NC Eps. #6 (our tenth tv show!) will be up this weekend. I could have had it up tonight, but I decided to wait to get pictures with it. I've also done a lot of the preliminary work for WWA-SW's debut, which should prove to be a nice addition to the WWA landscape.
So, stay tuned for a new episode this weekend.

Check out the main thread or the discussion thread for info on the new management of WWA. We can confirm at this time that Commissioner Dean Malenko will be retained, and that ACME has renamed WWA-SW's "The Debut" to WWA: Reloaded.
Stay tuned.
