- The 8th annual Royal Rumble Match
The show comes onto the air as Vince McMahon makes his way down to the ring holding a microphone. He warmly welcomes everyone to the Royal Rumble Display Case and gives a rundown on the main matches. He explains that the following match will be a battle involving two undefeated wrestlers where the winner will enter the Royal Rumble match at entry #30 and the loser will enter the Royal Rumble match at entry #1.
Winner gets entry #30 and loser gets entry #1
Rhyno .vs. Paul London (I-C Champion)
The match started off with Rhyno dishing out some powerful takedowns on London. While in control of the pace, Rhyno whips Paul off the ropes and lowers his head ready to back body drop him, but London makes a comeback with a sunset flip. He gets a suprise two count which startles Rhyno and he starts to aggressivly fight back at London. The match continues and London counters a sidewalk-slam with a headscissor takedown, and the momentum takes Rhyno through the ropes and to the outside floor. As Rhyno gets back up London hits a plancha over the ropes but Rhyno powerfully catches him! Rhyno throws London back into the ring, and Rhyno climbs onto the apron. London quickly hits a baseball slide and knocks Rhyno off the apron and back onto the floor. London hops over the top rope and lands on the apron, while Rhyno gets to his feet. London bounces off the middle rope ands hits an assai moonsault onto Rhyno and takes him down ringside!
Paul finally rolls Rhyno into the ring, and hits a springboard legdrop. After a two count, London hits some flashy attacks and works on Rhyno's leg for a while. After a while Rhyno starts to fight out so London applies a sleeper hold, but Rhyno charges backwards and rams London into the turnbuckle. Rhyno shoudler barges London into the corner and now it's his turn to dish out some offense. Later in the match Rhyno catapaults London into the corner, but London lands feet first on the second turnbuckle! Rhyno runs over and they fight on the top rope, and Rhyno attempts a Rhino driver off the top turnbuckle! London manages to backbody drop Rhyno off of him and Rhyno hits the ring mat hard! London positions himself accordingly as Rhyno is getting up, and london dives off for a crossbody. Rhyno rolls out the way and London crashes hard on the mat. Now that London has missed the crossbody, Rhyno is in the opposite corner setting up for a gore. London pulls himself up in the corner as Rhyno comes charging for the gore! London leapfrogs over Rhyno and out of the way, as Rhyno hits the turnbuckle head first at full force.
Rhyno stumbles back and falls over as London quickly heads to the top rope. Rhyno is still dazed and confused as Paul London hits the 450 splash off the top rope and pins Rhyno to three.
As Paul London walks off with his belt, Shane McMahon confronts him on the rampway and asks him the questions. "Paul, you just won the match, kept your undefeated streak alive, and you'll now enter the Royal Rumble match at #30! Surely this is going to be your night?" asks Shane. "For sure, I have the best advantage in the Rumble match now! Hey Rhyno, I'll be seeing you later tonight... actually your entering at number 1, so I guess I won't!" Paul jokes as he walks off victorious
J.R: Well folks, that was a hell of a bout!
Legend: Big time, London gets a huge advantage in the Royal Rumble now! Who do you think will win the Roy...
J.R:: Hold that thought, there's some backstage footage about to air right now!
Backstage Jillian Hall is singing to herself, and Chris Kanyon doesn't like what he hears. Kanyon also notices Ariel is hanging around the backstage area, it looks like she is drinking some sort of blood tea... and the teabag is a used tampon in hot water. Kanyon feels both women are annoying beyond belief so he sets up a scheme. "Hey Jillian I...
like....your singing very much," Kanyon lies, and Jillian thanks him. "However, Ariel over there told me that your singing is attrocious! She says it sounds like a cat dying!" kanyon fibs. "What, like a singing cat dying?" Jillain stupidly asks. "NO! She meant to imply that your voice sounds dreadful and in fact she said it was worse than Amy Windhouse!" Kanyon tells. "Worse then Windhouse? I can't believe I got compared to that skank!" the offended Jillian reacts. "Ariel also said you look like Windhouse too!" kanyon adds. "Now that's just pure nasty!" says Jillian, as she goes over to Ariel and knocks the bloody-tea out of her hand. "Hiiiisssssssssssssss! What wassssss that for?" a confused Ariel hisses. Jillian says nothing and then slaps Ariel right in the face! Kanyon looks on and giggles as the two women start to fight and pull each others hair and break into a catfight.
J.R: Kanyon always up to his tricks, he tried to get me from behind the other day... but I digress
Legend: Never let him sneak up behind you, you wouldn't like his little 'suprises'
J.R: Speaking of suprises, we have a suprise match that has just been added to the card! Our next contest will give somebody the chance to be in the actual Royal Rumble match itself!
Legend: being in the Rumble is a big deal, so the wrestlers up next better give it their all!
J.R: This is their last chance!
((Winner gets into the Royal Rumble Match))
Randy Orton .vs. Brock Lesnar .vs. William Regal .vs. Dennis Rodman .vs. Gregory Helms .vs. Terry Funk .vs. Rikishi .vs. Crash Holly .vs. Matt Hardy
Before everybody had entered the ring, Gregory Helms and Matt Hardy started brawling around the ringside area, and when the match kicked off Crash Holly started whipping everyone with his kendo stick. Meanwhile William Regal and Terry Funk started stiffing each other but Regal showed him up by out striking Funk and knocking the crazy fool out the ring.
Dennis Rodman and Lesnar battled a bit but Lesnar made quick work out of him. Orton, kennedy and Rikishi had their own little battle going on between themselves which was nonstop action. The whole match was a nonstop action packed fight all the way through! Everybody was rushing to hit their big moves on each other, but with ten people around, all the pins where being broken up constantly. At one point Crash had a mandible claw on someone, when all of a sudden some dance music errupted and form underneath the ring came a familiar face... Old Greg! He came into the ring and started dancing in front of Crash, who tried to fight Old Greg which ended up with Crash applying a crutch hold on Old Greg, but it had no effect. "I'm Old Greeeeeeeeeg! I got a man-gina!" He shreiked, so Crash started to run away and Old Greg chased him out of the arena.
The match continued to display fast paced action, and started builing to a climax with all moves being executed in a frenzy. Orton and Kennedy where fighting it out ringside while in the ring Brock Lesnar somehow lifted Rikishi up and threw him out the ring! Rikishi squahsed Orton and kennedy on the ringside area and they led their for the rest of the match.
Lesnar was taked down with a Tiger suplex from behind by William Regal and Dennis Rodman pushed Brock out of the ring. Then Regal hooked Rodman's arm and leg and hit a Regal suplex on Rodman! He pinned him 1....2.....Helms broke up the pinfall with a a shinning wizard, just after he had taken down Terry Funk at ringside. Helms hit an inverted unprettier on Regal and then Rodman was getting up. Rodman unloaded a superkick but Helms ducked it and managed to get Rodman into a Vertabreaker!
Helms hit the vertabreaker on Dennis Rodman and turned the lifeless body over to get a pin. William Regal managed to break up the pin just before the three count with a
killer Knee to Helm's temple. Then Regal lifted up Rodman and hits a brain buster, and Rodman landed sickly on his head! Regal pinned Rodman to three and the five-star match was over. William Regal has secured himself a spot in the Royal Rumble match, which will be the main event match tonight!
J.R: Such an amazing match we just witnessed, everybody gave it their all to try and be in the Rumble match
Legend: But their all losers, minus one William Regal
J.R: It goes to show how much a shot at Wrestlemania means to these guys!
Backstage Nicky is rolling around the floor in a hyperactive fashion. The McJunkies soon make their way to the scene of the idiocy and Sabu asks what Nicky bought off Tajiri this time. Tajiri tells Nicky "Recomend me to your freinds, but not to the police!" in a strict tone.
Suddenly Matt Morgan (former police officer) walks into the scene. "What do we have here then?" asks Morgan. "No idea sir, just some looney-bird!" Tajiri mutters as he hides the breifcase behind his back. "Well I'm looking for Old Greg, surely you've heard of him? If you see him let me know! But for now I'm taking this youngster into custody, I think he's had a bit too much!" Matt Morgan annoucnes. He carries off the substanced Nicky, while Sabu mumbles in a robotic voice to Tajiri "I'm Sabu....... And that... was a close call!"
J.R: A weird encounter just took place backstage, and the hunt for Old Greg is still apparant.
The Rock: The Rock says, William Regal will win the Royal Rumble tonight and go on to headline Wrestlemania! Did you knwo that he is apart of
my Rock Bottom Wrestling?
J.R: Where the hell did you come from?
The Rock: Silence fatty, the Rock says it's time to crown the very first Rock Bottom Wrestling champion!
J.R: RBW's third show, Rock Bottom, will have a champion crowned after the next match has ensued!
The Rock: The Rock says, this match will be electrifying!
((Rock Bottom Title))
Test .vs. Adam "Ginty" Appleseed
This match was a tough contest pitting Test's athletic strength against Ginty's hard-hitting japanese style. They locked up at the start then Test latched on a headlock which Ginty quickly turned into a backsuplex. As Test got up he was met with furious chops and swipes by Ginty Appleseed, backing him into the corner. Ginty charges but catches a Test boot, so Test started ramming Ginty into the turnbuckle. Test continued some powerful offense but Ginty would always fight back with some nasty uppercuts and arrange of quick takedowns. The match played out quite evenly for the majority of the bout with alot of close calls.
Towards the end Ginty would attempt a Ginty Cutter but Test managed to lift him onto his shoulders! Test goes for the TKO but Ginty stabs Test with violent elbow shots and Test collapses with Ginty ontop of him.
After Ginty crash lands on Test, he continues a few more stiff elbow attacks before turning Test over for the pinfall attempt. Ginty only gets a two count after Test reaches a ropebreak to cancel out the pin. Ginty goes up to the top rope and signals for the end, then leaps off with a diving elbow attack. Test rolls out the way and Ginty crash lands on the ring floor hard. Test takes some time to recover in the corner, and when Ginty starts to get up, Test goes over and applies a full nelson. Test then lifts Ginty up for ther Full Nelson slam but Ginty unlcoks one of his arms and uses the other arm to arm drag Test over his head. As Test quickly gets back up, Ginty grabs Test for a Ginty Cutter, but Test pushes him away towards the ropes. Ginty rebounds off the ropes and is caught in the jaw with a stiff big boot! Ginty tumbles over and Test pins him to three! The winner of this match, who happens to be Test, is now the brand new and first Rock Bottom Champion!
The Rock: Do you smell that?
J.R: Smell what?
The Rock: The Rock smells what Test is cooking... and that's the victory!
J.R: I could of sworn it was your cheesy feet
The Rock: Shut your piehole fatty! The Rock is out of here!
Backstage Kane is being interviewed by Shane McMahon about the Royal Rumble match. All Kane says is "Die Mother F*cker!" and Shane starts to pannic. All of a sudden Big Show attacks Kane from behind with a night stick and starts to clobber Kane over the head and neck. "You Bitch! You ended the career of my buddy Stone Cold, now I'm gonna end yours!" Big Show bellows as he continues to beat Kane down with Stone Cold's nightstick. Smackdown General manager Lance Storm quickly comes rushing into the incident and tells Big Show to get lost or else. Lance knows that Kane won't be able to be in the Rumble in this state, so he bans Big Show from the Rumble aswell! Lance says "You'll face Kane one-on-one at the next PPV, but until then get lost!" So Big Show storms off in a strop as Lance calls for medical staff to help Kane.
J.R: Another ongoing fued errupted backstage! When will Kane and Big Show finally settle the score?
Legend: Didn't youl listen? Storm said it would be at the next PPV!
J.R: I'm sure that will be a beastly brawl, especially since Kane has made it his goal to end all of Krystal Maze once and for all
Legend: He has that in mind, and that's a scary thought, but not as scary as the Undertaker!
J.R:... Who happens to be in the next match!
Legend: Undertaker gets a shot at the World Title, and I for one think that he can defeat Amazing Alan!
J.R: There's only one way to find out... Fiiiiiiiiiiiiight!
((World Heavyweight Title))
Amazing Alan .vs. Undertaker
The two mammoths went into an intense staredown at the start of the bell, and after words where grumbled by Alan, Undertaker soon unloaded some left and rights. Alan and Undertaker relentlessly battled it out for over five minutes, striking and blocking and brawling around the ringside. During their battle at ringside Undertaker even punched a fan after he verbally punked out the Undertaker. This lead to him being carried out of the arena while 'Taker and Alan fought once again, throwing each other into the steel barricades. Undertaker threw Alan into the steps and controlled the battle from then on. Soon enough, Alan was rolled back into the ring but his head was poking underneath the bottom rope and exposed to Undertaker who was ringside. Undertaker drove an elbow into Alan's chest area and then he climbed onto the apron. Undertaker shadowed over the helpless Alan, and Undetaker's leg came down over Alan's throat, known only as the guillotine legdrop! After Undertaker got back into the ring and a failed pinfall, the Deadman resumed a beatdown on Alan for some time. After Undertaker unloaded his usual aresnal of moves, it led to the point where a chokeslam was imminant. The throat of Alan was grasped tightly by Undertakers hand as he lifted Alan into the air. Somehow Alan knew he was doomed so he desperately countered the Chokeslam into a DDT!
Both men where down and out for a while, but it was Alan who made the first move when he crawled over and gently pinned the Undertaker 1....2.....kickout by 'Taker! Alan crawled back to his feet and awaited Undertaker to return to his feet. As soon as Underaker arose, Alan hit a bicycle kick but Undertaker caught Alan's foot and spun him around. As Alan went full circle he was caught in the jaw by Undertakers boot, and Alan stumbled backwards and fell through the ropes. Alan landed on the rampway, since it is the same height as the ring itself. Undertaker stalked Alan and fought him on the ramp. Undertaker flipped Alan up into a powerbomb position but Alan desperately fougth for his life by striking 'Taker's head between his legs. Undertaker stumbled back and dropped Alan into the ring. Alan landed awkwardly on his feet and as Undertaker came through the ropes into the ring, Alan quickly speared the snot out of the deadman! Alan crawled to get the pin, and it reached almost a three count before Undertaker jolted out. This made Alan impatient and he started growling and slapping Udnertaker's head, and all of a sudden 'Taker lashed out and clenched onto Alan's throat. Undertaker got back up and chokeslamed Alan to the deck, followed by a pin. The pin didn't quite make it all the way, as Alan broke out just before the end. Undertaker grabbed Alan and started yanking on his arm, then still holding Alan's arm, he climbed the turnbuckle and walked across the rope. Undertaker leaped off to attack, but Alan caught Undertaker and drove him into the ground with a powerslam! Alan didn't attempt a pin, instead he sat there trying to catch his breath back. Then Undertaker sat up and looked across the ring at Alan. They both got back up but Alan was the first to make pain when he booted Undertaker, who stumbled onto his knees. Alan grabbed the Undertaker and flipped him up into a dominator position. Undertaker slid off the back and as Alan turned around he was lifted upside by Undertaker for a tombstone position! Alan managed to leverage himself and counter the tombstone into a tombstone piledriver of his own!
The tombstone Piledriver connected and Alan managed to pin the Undertaker for three seconds, which was enough time to get the win. This was truely a battle of intense proportions what tested both man's physical limits, and it was Amazing Alan who came off the better man tonight. As Alan was celebrating with his belt, Undertaker rose back to a vertical base and craned over the exhausted Alan with a fist in the air. Alan clenched up but soon relaxed as Undertaker's fist unfolded into a guesture of respect. Alan accepted the handshake and the RBW crowd rejoiced in their noble sportsmanship.
J.R: What an epic moment we just witnessed
Legend: Too right, I can't believe the Undertaker would show respect like that to Alan!
J.R: They took each other to the limit, they couldn't not respect that!
Legend: Well, the next match will be anything apart from Respect, it's going to be Kenwood the G.M taking on the RBW champion!
J.R: The G.M throwing his weight around, well we'll see how he does in the ring
Legend: He's been trying to end Batista's reign for months, but nobody could do it!
J.R: Then again Kenwood was a good wrestler before he became G.M so don't count him out just yet!
Backstage, Mr McMahon is talking to Smackdown General Manager, Lance Storm, about who will be replacing Kane and Big Show in the Rumble match. "I have just the people in mind, Sir. Two new wrestlers that RBW have never seen before, and they will be Ji..." Suddenly the Nitro General Manager, Mr Kenwood, walks past heading to the ring. "Oi, Smackdown G.M , get lost! I wanna talk to the boss!" Kenwood groans. Mr McMahon tells Kenwood to "Shaaaadupp!" and lectures Kenwood about booking himself in the Nitro main event match for tonight. "Don't worry McMahon, I won't disapoint! I'm taking the Bear down and out once and for all!" Kenwood boasts. "For your sake, I hope you do that, because if you don't beat Batista tonight you'll pay the price on the next Nitro, Pal!" Mr McMahon threatens. Kenwood ponders what this could mean, then he leaves after frowning at both Mr McMahon and Lance Storm.
Legend: Mr McMahon just threatened Kenwood?
J.R: It seems so, yes.
Legend: Maybe it's a way of motivating him?
J.R: Well... the time for Kenwood has arrived, he gets his RBW title shot right now
Legend: The G.M booked himself in this Title match, so let's see how it unfolds
((RBW Title))
Batista "The Bear".vs. Kenwood
The match started with alot of trash talk coming out of Kenwood, whilst Batista calmly stood there ready for battle. Kenwood came over and slapped Batista who retaliated with a headlock. He singed in the headlock for almost two minutes where Kenwood would try everything he could to escape but coudln't. Batista was having fun at Kenwood's expense, then he whipped Kenwood to the floor with a headlock takedown, but Batista didn't leave his feet to sling Kenwood to the mat. Kenwood got up full of anger and embarassment and started shouting the odds. He came running but Batista clohteslined him down, and then he did the same thing twice more. Batista easily controlled the opening part of the match, by throwings Kenwood around like rag doll. We later find that Batista has Kenwood in a bearhug, and Kenwood is trying to fight his way out. Batista calmly places Kenwood on top of the turnbuckle and pats his head like a child insultingly. Kenwood snaps and punches Batista in the face so Batista aggressively shoves Kenwood off the top and he lands nastily on the floor outisde!
The referee dashes over to check on Kenwood and see if he can still compete. Kenwood tells him "give me a minute" as the referee confronts Batista and stalls him for a while, in the sake of Kenwood's health and wellbeing. Batista poses to the fans to kill a little time, and gets a strong response, but the fans also cheer on Kenwood at the same time. For a twisted and bitter G.M, the fans still really appreciate Kenwood. Soon enough Batista follows after Kenwood and picks him up and whips him into the guard rail.
The brawl continues at ringside, and leads to the point where Kenwood is on Batista's shoulder as if he was a bazooka cannon. Batista charges at the ring post in order to use Kenwood's head as a battering ram, but Kenwood slips off and Batista tumbles into the ringpost himself! The Bear is slightly wounded from this impactful setback, as Kenwood sneakily crawls up the steel steps and up to rampway. Kenwood lays on the ramp trying to regain his composure, but Batista is slowly on the hunt. Kenwood looks around and notices Batista coming up the steps towards him. Kenwood boots Batista in the head and then stomps the top of Batista's head into the steel steps that he's on. Batista roars and blindly swipes around since he's dazed and confused, so Kenwood pulls him into a piledriver and hits the move on the ramp!
After the piledriver on the ramp, Kenwood rolls backwards but since the end of the ramp is such a sudden downhill sloap, he slides down and tumbles to the ground. It looked more painful than it was but it still winded Kenwood. Both men are down and out for the moment, and already the match has taken it's toll on both competitors.
After that, Kenwood manages to crawl back up to the ramp, while Batista is showing signs of life, and getting up also. Kenwood gets back onto the ramp and comes running but Batista back bodydrops him into the ring. Kenwood hits the canvas and tries to get back up fast. Batista comes back into the ring but is met with a Kenwood dropkick to the face. Kenwood hits some offense while Batista is grounded, and Kenwood shows off his effective matwork abilities. Kenwood later decides to take it up a notch, so he heads to the top turnbuckle. Batista gets back up and Kenwood launches a cross body attack. Batista catches him but stumbles a bit, then falls over and Kenwood makes a pinfall attempt. Batista powers out right after two and sends Kenwood into the ropes. Batista gets up and charges at Kenwood, who ducks, and Batista topples over the top rope like a meathead. Kenwood grabs the top rope and hits a rolling plancha over the top rope and kicks Batista with force. Kenwood, who is still holding onto the rope, pulls himselfback into the ring like he's "Scimming the cat". At ringside, Batista gets back up and Kenwood launches a baseball slide, but Batista sidesteps and Kenwood slides out the ring. Batista clotheslines Kenwood down suddenly, and then Batista goes to the fans who are cheering at him. He notices at the announcer desk that J.R is tlaking trash about Batista so he goes over there and J.R shouts abuse at the Champ. Batista punches J.R over then he steals and drags the announcers table over to ringside. Batista grabs it and throws it in a rage, and it breaks. During this time, Kenwood gets back up and Batista starts to charge at him, but Kenwood shuffles away and Batista launches himself for a spear! Batista plunges at a nearby table, and crashes big time. Kenwood tells the referee "I'm the G.M and I say make this match a Hardcore rules now!" so Kenwood pins Batista and it only gets a two count. "Okay, now changes the rules back to no-DQ only! I don't wanna get pinned on the outside now, do I?" Kenwood slyly demands. The referee just shrugs in a confused manor.
Kenwood dishes out some punishment while at ringside which includes the usage of a chair, before Batista finally gets a second wind and rams Kenwood into the ring apron. He grabs Kenwood and rolls him into the ring, then he disappears out of sight for a while, as Batista goes over to the end of the arena. He soon comes back with a board of nails. Batista places it down and Kenwood starts hitting him, but Batista back body drops him and Kenwood's side lands onto the spikey board! Now Batista starts throwing Kenwood around in the ring, but after a while Kenwood comes back with a Delicous-Jaw-Sound (superkick) right to Batista's jaw, out of nowhere! Kenwood falls down on topof Batista and pins him to thr...two! Just a two count, Batista kicked out at the last possible mili-second. Kenwood pannicks when he realises that his finisher didn't beat the champ! Kenwood rolls out the ring and grabs a scrap piece of wood from what used to be the annoucners desk and he throws it into the ring. Kenwood grabs the scrapwood and stabs Batista with it then throws it on top of him in a reckless manner. Kenwood goes up to the top rope and hits a diving elbow drop while the wood is still on Batista. The wood is pushed aside and Kenwood pins Batista 1....2.....kickout by the Bear! Kenwood hisses at the referee and goes back after Batista. He pulls Batista up and unleashes a Delicous-Jaw-Sound, but Batista catches it and spins him around into a Spear! Batista covers Kenwood 1....2.....kenwood's foot reaches the ropebreak. Batista kicks Kenwood, and he falls out of the ring and lands near a lost ring bell. Batista pokes his head out between the ropes, trying to grab Kenwood, but Kenwood grabs the ring bell and clocks Batista with it! Batista falls back and is layed out cold in the middle of the ring, while Kenwod throws the bell into the ring and struggles to pull himself onto the apron. Kenwood puts one leg through the ropes then he just collapses and his body rolls into the ring by itslef. Both men are at their breaking point, but somebody has to capitalize sooner or later.
After some time, Batista twicthes and it seems he is coming back to life, so Kenwood tries to pull himself up by the ropes. Kenwood barely makes it to his feet, using the ropes as support, then he start to stamp his foot in order to "pump up the leg" since he has the Delicous-Jaw-Sound in mind. Batista gets up and Kenwood unloads a Delicous-Jaw-Sound but Batista luckily dodges it. The second Kenwood's superkick foot touches the floor again, he is slightly bent over, which is where Batista quickly gets Kenwood's head in a front facelock. This front facelock turns into a suplex position, and even though Kenwood is shaking in fear, Batista hits the brain bustah! Kenwood lands on his head and Batista is exhausted from that last ditch effort, but he manages to roll over one arm to pin Kenwood to three.
The match has ended and Batista has triumphed once again! The match may have started off in Batista's favour but Kenwood found an opening and the match turned into a messy brawl, but it was hard hitting and intense nonetheless. Both men gave everything they had but it was Batista who won in the end
Legend: What a classic brawl for the RBW Title! Once again the undefeated Batista has overcome the challenge put in front of him. At first I thought Batista would make easy work of Kenwood, but it certainly wasn't an easy victory for the Bear! Even Jim Ross has become colleteral damage, when he was knocked down in the battle! I'll give Kenwood credit for his effort, but remember what Vince McMahon said to Kenwood backstage... that if Kenwood lost he would face the consequences on the next Nitro! I dread to think what that might be.
Eric: I'm Eric Fishoff!
Legend: I know, welcome to the announcers desk, Fish-lips!
Eric: Cheers Mate, and not only was J.R getting knocked out funny as hell, but it was very fortunate for me since I get to fill his place and watch the best match of the year unfold!
Legend: I agree with you there, the Royal Rumble match is probaly the greatest RBW match each year
Eric: And we all know the rules... two men start off, 30 men enter in total, your eliminated if your thrown over the top rope and both feet hit the floor! This year we have a rampway level to the ring so if they land on that then they're not eliminated!
Legend: It's lucky that it's there then
Eric: ... and the last man left in the ring will be the winner!
The 8th annual 30 Man Royal Rumble Match
Order of entry: Rhino, Kurt Angle, RVD, Andre the Giant, Christian Cage, Jon, Maven, René Dupree, CM Punk, Carlito, Charlie Haas (w/ Big Show), Edge, Jeff Hardy, Jim Duggan, HBK, Mark Jindrack (w/ Trish Stratus), Alex Shelley, Benoit, Zeke, Lance Hoyt, Hollywood Hogan, Chris Jericho, William Regal, Mike Awesome, Perry Saturn, Viscera, Jimmy Jacobs, Johnny Nitro Morrsion, Raven, Paul LondonThe Match started off with Rhyno coming down first, who lost earlier today to Paul London, which explains his #1 entry punishment. Secondly Kurt Angle came down and the match kicked off! Angle and Rhino were a great match-up and both took each other down with their unique style of offense.
RVD was next into the ring, the first thing he did was hit a crossbody that took down both Kurt and Rhino! RVD went around kicking and flipping alot, but Kurt was the man that RVD had trouble with. Andre the Giant was next, and he out powered all three men at once. He seemed to be joking around and playfully throwing them about, but he was kicking ass at the same time! That was until more wrestlers came down after several minutes, and Christian Cage was the one who pissed Andre off! After Andre got angry he started throwing everyone around and doing some damage. It got to the point where everyone had to team up on Andre, and that they did. René Dupree made his suprise in-ring return when entered at #8 and since the other six wrestlers where pushing Andre against the ropes, Dupree grabbed Andre's arm and pulled him out of the ring since Dupree was on the outside. That was a big highlight in the match for some time, apart from RVD and CM Punk's constant battle between each other. Later Charlie Haas enetered the match, and Big Show sat ringside to watch his tag team partner compete. Later Dupree found himself going under the ropes and sitting ringside to watch the match, in a sly sneaky fashion. The match went on longer and at #14 Jim Duggan made his RBW Debut!
Duggan came in and started clotheslining people down with his Flag, and a few people, and later he threw the flag out the ring and it landed near Dupree who was still sneakily hiding from the match. A while later Mark Jindrack came down with his girlfreind Trish who sat ringside to watch the match. Trish was calling out and supporting her man Jindrack, but Dupree didn't like Trish so he grabbed her and threw face first into the chair he was just sat on. Jindrack noticed the woman beater, so he went underneath the ropes and started fighting Dupree ringside! It was quite a stiff battle they had going on.
During their fight, Dupree was stepping all over Duggan's flag, so Duggan shouted out "Get off my flag!" then Duggan came rolling under the ropes and started to join in the fight with Jindrack and Dupree. Their fight was very entertaining and Duggan bellowed alot of classic one-liners while kicking ass. At one point in the ring, Charlie Haas got thrown over the top rope, but Big Show caught him in mid-air before Haas' feet hit the floor, and Big Show rolled him back into the ring.
The match was about half way through at this point, as entry #17 made his way down. In came Alex Shelley how started taking down people with his unique array of moves. Much later into the match we saw Sting come running down, although he wasn't an offical Rumble entrant, he came down to fight Alex Shelley sicne they've had a heated rivalry for some time now.
Alex scurried underneath the bottom rope, and ran all the way around the ring, past Big Show, and over the rampway. As Sting got to the rampway Big Show grabbed him and said "Leave him alone!" and Big Show started hitting Sting with the night stick! There was no reason Big Show decided to help Alex or hurt Sting, perhaps he was just bored. Big Show grabbed Sting and and carried him off to the backstage area, and that was the last we saw of either Sting or Big Show for the rest of the night. The match was getting good as time went on, and we finally made it up to the #24 entry and it was the return of one of RBW's best wrestlers that hasn't been seen since 2006! It was the return of Mike Awesome! He came in and dominated the place and eliminated a few people during the next several minutes. At the moment Jim Duggan has eliminated the most people, followed by Mike Awesome. Later we witnessed Viscera come down and eliminate about five people right away. As time passes it gets to the point where the ring is left with Viscera, Jim Duggan, Rhyno, Mike Awesome and Charlie Haas. The battle continues with Viscera knocking down everyone except Awesome and Duggan. Viscera swipes at Mike, but he ducks and hits a superkick that makes Viscera wobble towards the rope. Then Duggan comes charging and clotheslines Viscera over the top rope, which is the most glorious elimination of the match so far!
The next entry was #27 and was the debut of Jimmy Jacobs! He came down with a rail-spike clenched in his fist! He came into the ring and started stabbing away at people.
Jacobs stabbed Jim Duggan in the head with the spike and took Jim over the top rope and eliminated one of the best rumble participants of the night. Jimmy went around and stabbed everyone else in sight for that matter, and the match was in his control. The next entrant into the match was #28 Johhny Nitro, who went around wisely attacking each person bit-by-bit. Nitro then went for a lionsault and as he was upside down in the air, Jimmy Jacobs dropkicked him in the gut! Nitro was eliminated soon after that, and almost knocked over a table that Raven was setting up ringside. Of course, Raven was entry #29, and he brought a barbwire baseball bat into the ring with him. Rhyno was the first person he met, so he decided to beat down him!
Raven beatdown the man who entered at #1 with the barbie-bat and Jimmy Jacobs spiked Rhyno over the top rope and out the match. Later Jimmy Jacobs turned around and Mike Awesome superkicked him and sent the spike flying out his hand and out the ring. The four people left are Raven, Mike Awesome, Haas and Jimmy Jacobs, plus the final entry was #30 Paul London, who came down and dived around taking everyone down with high flying. The match was at an all time fast pace, and was in a frenzy as Raven went to superkick Jimmy Jacobs but he caught Raven's leg then spun him around and speared him! The fast pace saw Haas eliminated in the craze and then Raven soonafter thanks to Mike Awesome. With three people left, it's now Paul London who was going a 450 splash on Jimmy Jacobs, but Mike Awesome shoved him off the top rope and out of the match! The last two are now Jimmy Jacobs and Mike Awesome, who both were suprise entrants for this years Royal Rumble match! The last stand of the night is when Jimmy Jacobs goes for the sliced-bread "contra code", but as he's running up the turnbuckle he is crutched on the turnbuckle by Mike Awesome. Then Mike Awesome climbed the turnbuckle and started fighting Jimmy on the top rope. Mike got Jimmy inbetween his legs and hit a top rope powerbomb off the top rope and Jimmy crash landed through a table at the ringside area! Mike Awesome has just won the 8th Royal Rumble match in extreme fashion!
