Personally I have nothing but great things to say about axe. He is a standout guy and has really helped a lot of people here. Myself included. I'm not one to get involved with any arguing here. Nor do I care to engage with anyone personally. But I understand where he is coming from and can see his point. But as I said before, we as customizers should help, not bash each other. We all strive to do the best, so lets knock of on bashing axe. Especially when he is not here to fight back. I consider axe a friend and will gladly go out of my way to help him as he has done for me. Hope you come back bro, love your work.

His figure weren't worth what he was asking for them. He made a big deal over nothing and acted like an immature little brat, I won't miss him. His figures are worth whatever they fetch on the open market. I love how the peanut gallery pops up to bash him and his work after he's gone. His work stands alone--his leaving doesn't diminish what he created. To the other customizers tearing his work down, just know that you aren't building yourself up in the end. You're just "lowering" yourself to doing what you accuse Axe of doing, being petty and immature. Enjoy his work, or don't...but stop the bashing. Wars thank you. Let's try building each other up, and not tearing each others work apart. I see customs as a work of art. Some are better than others, but I appreciate the "artist" for putting his work out there for us to see. I also agree that customs are worth whatever the buyer pays. If there is a buyer out there willing to spend, why not "feed him"...or her...

AxeHennig, what head did you use for your Hulk Hogan, it looks sorta like the R3 Hulk Hogan, but that one says Hulk Rules, but yours says Hulkamania, can you share secret as to how you got it like that?

He got mad because someone else did a HBK tribute Punk and started trash talking POP88 and Deepfreeze saying their customs were garbage and they stole his ideas. First off his ideas weren't copyrighted so they couldn't technically be stolen. 2nd if you post your creations here, or the internet in general, prepare to have someone else make their own spin on it. He acted like a child. Glad he's gone.

Wow this all new to me, I have not talked to Jason in over a year. I honestly hate how this ended up reading a few pages back. He was a good friend, great talent. Helped me out on numerous occasions too. I can understand his frustration and all that, I personally wouldn't have reacted the way he did but I still respect him and miss seeing his work.

that seems a bit childish, I'd thought of doing alternate tribute attires for Punk before seeing Axe's HBK one, I drew up some designs too. I'd post them but have no way of proving that they were taken before his custom was made.
In all fairness, "stealing ideas" is very hypocritical thing for a customiser to say considering they're using mattel/jakks parts to make a figure based off certain attires which is stealing both wrestlers attire ideas...

Glad he's gone. i don't know what happened with pop, but some clarification is needed regarding deepfreeze. from what i can remember, axe created an image via photoshop(or he might've even hand-painted it on the figure) of the warriors face for a custom warrior's tights. deepfreeze effectively copied the image of the face, created a decal of it and used it on one of his figures. to me, that's cheap and it's theft. it's one thing to use someone's logo. it's something else to use a hand-painted image. AT LEAST get the permission from the dude who created it. but whatever.

i hate to say it, but this thread should probably be locked. its not cool that people are trash talking the man when he isnt even around anymore. i mean it is cool that it gets bumped and people see his great work, but the little remarks towards AXE really are not necessary.

Incredible work! Even the figures I'm not fond of appear very well done Sticky this as a showcase of some great work in this line. I don't know Axe personally, but he knows his craft.

I didn't even know theaxehennig was a member here. I just found this site through a friend and think it's a great place to view customs. I always lurked Ebay for customs. I saw theaxehennig's work on Ebay and talked with him about a huge, long-term 30+ piece order. He's been great with communication, gets work done fast, and his figures are mind blowing. We've been working together for about four months, and his prices are reasonable for the amount of detail and craftsmanship he puts in. Many people would spend 3,000 dollars on fixing up cars, or other hobbies, but mine has always been custom action figures. I've bought from many people over the years and love his work.
Good work everyone.

Does anyone know if Thexehennig is still doing customs? I love his Mattel customs. I am looking to purchase some Somewhere probably, but this was the wrong place to put this. Next time instead of bringing up a 7 month old topic (which is against the rules btw) and pushing down the work of people who are still here and trying to get noticed, use the custom discussion thread which is just above, stickied to the top of this forum. wfigs.proboards.com/thread/224792/custom-discussion-thread?page=36Also before finishing replying to the thread in a matter of seconds I used google and not only found his eBay account, but also his website. myworld.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/theaxehennig/ theaxehennig.blogspot.com/

Guys, I hate to do this, but seeing as Axe is no longer active here, and I'm sure his thread will keep getting topped from time to time, I'm going to lock it. Just think of it as a hidden gem that new members will have to dig back to find.
Axe, if you read this, you are always welcomed here, and your work is missed! PM me if you come back and I will unlock your thread.
