Larsson is the only player to effectively recover to full form after this kind of injury, but then again his was no way near as severe as Eduardo. Apparently Eduardo has 3 breaks.

Arsenal striker Eduardo underwent surgery for a double compound fracture of his leg on Saturday after suffering a horrific injury against Birmingham. The Croatia international will miss the rest of the season and Euro 2008, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said he fears a "much longer" absence.
Croatia manager Slaven Bilic added: "This is horrible. The fact he won't play at the Euros is less important.
"Most important is he recovers as soon as possible and resumes his career."
Arsenal confirmed on Sunday that the striker had been transferred from Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital to an unnamed London hospital, where he will undergo further treatment.
Birmingham captain Martin Taylor was heavily criticised by Wenger for the tackle that broke Eduardo's leg, before the Arsenal boss retracted his most scathing comments.
But Croatia captain Niko Kovac said: "I can't believe this happened. Also, I can't believe such brutality still exists in football.
"I don't even want to speculate about the time of his absence. Let's wait for the doctors to give their opinion."

I wasn't surpirse that Arsene Wenger was heavy criticised to Martin Taylor. Because Martin Taylor was wrong, I know that was slipped, but still complete wrong.
Eduardo was attend to Selly Oak Hospital and now he moved to unname hospital in London. Selly Oak Hospital is just 1 - 2 minute(s) away from here, lol.

I think it was a bad tackle but there are so many in the league that don't result in this sort of injury, you cannot possibly pick out Taylor from yesterdays incident and crucify him, yes Eduardo's injury looks horrific but even though Taylor made the tackle, it is not his fault that this happened, to say it is all his fault would be wrong and unfair to him so i am glad Wengar retracted his remarks from straight after the game. I don't think Eduardo will be back for at least 2 years if not indefinately, it is a true shame as he was just really getting intergrated into the Arsenal team as a permanent fixture. Wengar is not having much luck with his signings up front recently is he, Adebayor is the only one you can point out as being a success so far, Walcott is yet to prove how good he can be for me yet, Reyes is back in Spain, Van Persie seems cursed with injury and now Eduardo is gone for time.
Hope he recovers well and is able to carry on with his life as normal as it is one thing to not play football again, it is another to not be able to walk again and his injury looks that bad, Get well soon Eduardo!

Someone explain the Marc Vivien Foe thing?I hope Eduardo has a speedy recovery, if a recovery at all. Most savage thing ive seen. Absolutly Disgusting. Eduardo has undergone surgery on the leg now, Arsene Wenger still quotes his status as 'Very Very Bad'. - Arsenal's Official Website. Died on live TV in the Cameroon vs France game in the 2003 Confederations Cup Semi-Final.

I think they suppose go to private hospital such as BUPA, etc.

I'll be suprised if he ever walks again, let alone plays. He'll probably have to have metal hinges and stuff put in.
Even if he does play again, it will certainly not be at top flight level. Such a shame, he would have been an awesome player. Disgusting of Matt Taylor, he's ended someone's whole career.

Birmingham City released a statement soon after the game; "Martin Taylor is adamant there was no malicious intent in the tackle and he is deeply upset by the extent of Eduardo's injury. Having reviewed the incident, this (no malicious intent) is clearly the case. The club and Martin Taylor would like to send their very best wishes to the player for a speedy recovery." The day after the game, Taylor visited Eduardo in hospital to find out the full extent of his injury, and to pass on his best wishes for a speedy recovery. He had tried to visit him the previous day, but he had been in surgery. At the end of the match in question, he had tried to seek out Wenger in the tunnel, to inquire about the player's condition.

Arsenal striker Eduardo could be back in the game in nine months.
The 25-year-old broke his leg and dislocated his ankle in a challenge with Birmingham's Martin Taylor in their Premier League match on Saturday.
He will have his leg in plaster for up to eight weeks, but he could be running again in six months' time.
If his recovery goes well, he could be back for his club and his country - Croatia - by Christmas, but he won't be fit to play in the Euro 2008 finals.
Eduardo was signed by Arsenal for £7.5m in 2007.
He has scored 12 goals in his debut season for the London club.
Sent off
Their match against Birmingham ended 2-2, with Eduardo being stretchered off in the early stages.
Taylor was sent off for the challenge.

I seriously doubt he will be back that quickly. This is worse that Smithy and he was out miles longer.
