Extreme Championship Wrestling
ECW World Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Steve Corino after be defeated the Sandman, Justin Credible and then champion Jerry Lynn at November to Remember 2000 in a double jeopardy match. Since the pay per view, Corino has been taking on Sandman and Credible in various three way dances. Corino claims that he will be greatest ECW World Champion in ECW’s history. Corino has plenty to deal with, challengers including Sandman, Justin Credible, Jerry Lynn, Rob Van Dam and Rhino. Will Steve Corino be able to become the greatest ECW World Champion, ever?
ECW Television Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Rhino. Rhino has been a force over the past year and really made a name for himself destroying the Sandman on several shows. Rhino has been extremely dominate in ECW, and people are starting to think that Rhino has what it takes to break Rob Van Dam’s record of having the championship. Rhino will surely have plenty of challengers including Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, Jerry Lynn, Super Crazy, and Tajiri. Who will be able to dethrone Rhino?
ECW World Tag Team Championship scene: The championships currently held by Danny Doring and Roadkill after defeating the Full Blooded Italians. Doring and Roadkill finally managed to win the belts after several years of chasing the belts. Doring and Roadkill will not have a easy title reign as the tag team division is packed with experienced tag teams. Some of the tag teams to look out for include former champions Full Blooded Italians, Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger, Joey Matthews and Christian York and the Hot Commodity. Will Doring and Roadkill be able to continue to fend off the challengers, or will they crumble under pressure to hang onto the belts?
World Championship Wrestling
WCW World Heavyweight Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Scott Steiner who defeated and effectively eliminated Booker T from WCW at Mayhem 2000. Scott Steiner has been on a path of destruction ever since July of 2000 and has no plans of stopping. Steiner even defeated mystery opponent Sid Vicious at Starrcade 2000. Steiner has been having issues with WCW President Ric Flair who will not stand for Scott Steiner’s constant tirades and attacks of officials and other wrestlers. Scott Steiner enters 2001 on a roll and people are wondering who will be able to stop him.
WCW United States Championship scene: The championship is currently held by General Rection who defeated Lance Storm to win the belt. Rection managed to overcome Team Canada to win the belt but now has had to deal with the Triple Threat (Shane Douglas, Bam-Bam Bigelow and recently re-hired Chris Candido). Rection has made it clear that he will not back down from those three men, most notably the leader, Douglas. Can Rection continue to fight the good fight, or will Rection be unable to rise to the occasion?
WCW World Tag Team Championship scene: The championships currently held by Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash after they defeated Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo. Page and Nash are a unlikely tag team considering their past, so one has to wonder if they can out their differences aside and continue to defend the tag team championships. So far everything has gone smoothly. However, they both have made it clear that they have their sights set on the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, as well. Can Page and Nash stay focused on the tag team division or will their desire to be WCW World Heavyweight Champion cost them the titles?
WCW Cruiserweight Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Chavo Guerrero Jr. Chavo recently turned on his Misfits in Action partners and became a liar and a cheater. The cruiserweight division is packed with some young and experienced wrestlers all looking at dethroning the champion. Who will be able to step up and beat one of WCW’s best?
WCW Hardcore Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Terry Funk. The hardcore division is a wild division where anyone can enter and win the belt. Funk has been fighting off challengers left and right and he will not back down from anyone. Who will be able to take down the living hardcore icon?
World Wrestling Federation
WWF World Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Kurt Angle. Angle had a extremely successful year in 2000 and looks to continue that success in 2001. Angle has beaten the likes of the Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Steve Austin and others throughout the year. Angle has been a fighting champion, and has simply out wrestled his competition. Many fans have speculated that Angle has been lucky, and they suspect that his luck is about to run out. How long will Kurt Angle be able to hang onto the belt? Will the ever fierce competition he face finally catch up to him?
WWF Intercontinental Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Chris Benoit. Ever since coming to the WWF in February 2000, Benoit has been taking people out and winning championships. Benoit ended 2000 winning the belt from Billy Gunn and has been looking to be in great shape. Benoit has claimed that he is best technical wrestler and in the WWF and has been challenging anyone and everyone to prove him wrong. Surely Benoit will get his wish. Who will be able to prove Benoit wrong and take his championship away or is Benoit truly the best in the WWF?
WWF World Tag Team Championships scene: The championship is currently held by Edge and Christian. Edge and Christian have gone around the past year saying they are the best tag team ever to compete in the WWF. They have had classic wars with the Dudley Boys and Hardy Boyz. Entering 2001 they will surely have more battles with those tag teams as well as former champions Too Cool, APA and T&A. How long will Edge and Christian be able to fend off the top competition and continue to claim that they are the best?
WWF European Championship scene: The championship is currently held by William Regal. Regal has been going around saying that the European Championship is the only championship with prestige and that it is the only championship that matters in the WWF. Regal is a great wrestler and a great champion, will he be able to continue this dominance in the WWF or will 2001 be the year that Regal is put to shame?
WWF Lightweight Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Dean Malenko. Malenko is a fantastic competitor and has dominated this division for nearly a year. Malenko doesn’t believe he has any worthy competitors, so rest assure that several WWF wrestlers are looking to knock some sense into Malenko and take away his precious championship. But, who will it be?
WWF Hardcore Championship scene: The championship is currently held by Raven. Raven has really been able to overcome the 24/7 rule as he continues to win the championship. Raven will have to continue to watch his back as he never knows who will be coming after him to win the belt.

Let's hope things go swimmingly in this one, Bob. I'm looking forward to this one. But if you're doing three promotions at once, I hope that you drop everything else.

World Championship Wrestling presents Nitro Date: 1/1/2001 From: St. Paul, Minnesota Announcers: Tony Schiavone and Scott Hudson
WCW Logo
Tony Schiavone and Scott Hudson hype up the show and promote WCW Sin which takes pace on the 14th of January. They promote a few matches that include Terry Funk defending the WCW Hardcore Championship against Johnny the Bull, the Triple Threat taking in the Misfits in Action in a six man tag team match. Also, the Insiders defend the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak of the Natural Born Thrillers. That’s all they promote before sending it to David Penzer to start the show.
Opening Contest: Lance Storm defeated Konnan: A simple match that had some decent back and forth action. Konnan got some good offense in which included a rolling thunder clothesline and a face buster but he played to the crowd to much. Storm would come back with a spinning heel kick, a super kick and proceed to make Konnan tap out to the Canadian Maple Leaf to pick up the win.
Commercials
WCW World Heavyweight Champion Scott Steiner makes his way down to the ring to a course of boos. Once Steiner gets into the ring, he makes sure to rip on WCW officials and the fans. Steiner claims that he is the reason that Booker T and Sting packed their bags and left WCW because they are afraid of the Big Bad Booty Daddy. Steiner continues by saying that he defeated Sid Vicious at Starrcade and that it was easier than what he thought it would’ve been. Steiner believes that Ric Flair will not be able to find someone to take his belt away from him. Ric Flair makes his way out and gets a cheap pop from the crowd before turning his attention to Scott Steiner. Flair says that Scott Steiner was greatly impressive at Starrcade, but Flair has gotten another man for Scott Steiner to defend the belt against right here on Nitro! Scott Steiner demands to know who it is. Flair tells Steiner that he knows him really well, considering they lived in the same house for quite sometime. That’s right, Scott Steiner will defend against his older brother, Rick Steiner!
Tony and Scott put over the fact that Rick Steiner was the better amateur wrestler between the two brothers and that possibly Rick Steiner knows Scott Steiner better than anyone else.
Commercials
Second Contest: Terry Funk defeated Johnny the Bull to retain the WCW Hardcore Championship: A wild brawl between two allies. Funk would throw several chairs at Bull to gain the advantage. Bull would deliver several trash can shots and kendo sticks shots as well. Bull would miss a springboard leg drop to the floor which would allow Funk to set up a table and eventually pile drive Bull through the table to win the match.
Backstage, The Cat is hanging out with Miss Jones until Jeff Jarrett walks over and taunts the Cat for no longer being the commissioner. Cat says that he will reclaim his position from Mike Sanders in the future and when he does, he will make sure to put Jarrett through hell simply because he doesn’t like it. Buff Bagwell comes from behind and attacks the Cat while Miss Jones screams in horror. Bagwell holds Cat as Jarrett smashes a guitar over Cat’s head. Goldberg comes over and chases Jarrett and Bagwell away before checking on Cat.
Commercials
Third Contest: Shane Helms defeated Rey Mysterio Jr./Billy Kidman and Elix Skipper: WCW Cruiserweight Champion Chavo Guerrero was on commentary to watch several of his possible challengers compete. All four men did some fantastic aerial moves that got the crowd really into the match. Kidman hit the SSP on Skipper but hurt his ribs and as he got up was taken down with a springboard hurricanrana by Rey Mysterio Jr.. The match was down to Helms and Mysterio. Mysterio attempted a wheelbarrow bulldog but Helms blocked the move connecting with a release German suplex and put Mysterio away with the Verterbreaker. After the match, Helms taunted Chavo Guerrero Jr. signaling that he was coming for the title.

Commercials
Fourth Contest: Triple Threat defeated Misfits in Action (General Rection, Cajun and AWOL): A rather slow match between these six men. Triple Threat controlled the match until AWOL got the hot tag from Cajun and choke slammed all three men down. Rection went for a moonsault on Douglas late in the match, but Bigelow managed to trip Rection and Rection would fall off the top onto his neck. Douglas grabbed Rection and connected with the Pittsburgh Plunge while the other four men brawled around ringside. After the match, Douglas hit Rection with the WCW United States Championship and taunted the crowd.
Backstage, Mike Sanders is hyping up Sean O’Haire and Mark Jindrak to get the job done and beat the Insiders tonight to regain the tag team titles.
Fifth Contest: the Insiders defeated Sean O’Haire/Mark Jindrak via disqualification to retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships: A back and forth match that the crowd got into late in the contest. Page connected with a middle rope Diamond Cutter on Jindrak but wasn’t the legal man. Kevin Nash attempted the Jackknife on O’Haire but Shawn Stasiak entered the ring and hit Nash in the midsection with a tire iron to cause the DQ finish. After the match, the Natural Born Thrillers pose with the belts over Kevin Nash while Page is on the floor.
Commercials
Backstage, Mike Awesome, who is now sporting a shorter haircut is with Mike Tenay. Awesome says that throughout his run in WCW thus far he has been treated like a joke. Sixth Contest: Goldberg/The Cat defeated Jeff Jarrett/Buff Bagwell: Jarrett and Bagwell control Cat for a good portion of the match. That is until Cat nails Bagwell with a kick off the middle rope. Hope you can find a diary you like since WCW 2000. Decent opening match, Storm getting the win was the good call. Good Steiner promo, Scott vs. Rick sounds like a great idea. Hardcore Title match was fine although the title is worthless. Like the Jarrett/Cat stuff although Goldberg appearing was a little random, unless I forgot something that happened. Good win for Helms to put him over. Other main event is pretty good. Next two matches seemed ok. You seem to be a big fan of Mike Awesome judging from this promo and your other diary. Glad Goldberg got the win although it maked him look weak for Luger to attack him. ALthough Goldberg/Luger could be decent. Good main event, good ending to the show as well. Good start to the WCW part of this diary.

Lance Storm/Konnan is a solid way to kick off the show. Scott Steiner/Rick Steiner for the World Title is a fine main event for Nitro, but not for Sin. I wasn't a fan of the WCW Hardcore Title, but I'd quite like to see you do something with it. Jarrett/Bagwell/The Cat segment was fine. Sets up a tag team match down the line aswell as Jarrett/Goldberg. Helms/Chavo for the title should be fun. I loved The Natural Born Thrillers but I can't seem to find anything for them in my WCW. I hope you find something for them in this. Not surprised Bagwell took the 'fall in that match. Sid/Steiner should be awesome. I'm wondering if you'll be going down the route of The Magnificent Seven, but I can't see you doing that.

Whoa big choice to do all 3 promotions, lets hope you can stick with it, nice opening contest glad Lance got the win, Scott/Rick sounds pretty good, keep the title on Funk ya just gotta love the guy, Cru match sounded fun rather Rey win but any one would have done, push Triple Threat, not sure about matches 4,5,6 all being tag matches could have shoved a single match to break it up abit, not very happy with the write up on the final match would have liked more, Sid/Scott should be good, could you reply to ROH, good luck and keep this up, esp looking foward to ECW.

Angle came back with a overhead belly to belly suplex and a top rope moonsault for a near win. Late in the match, Jericho accidentally collided with the referee which allowed Triple H to come down to the ring. HHH pedigreed Jericho and put Angle on top to allow Angle to retain the championship. After the match, HHH walks up the entrance ramp with his back turned to the ramp way, where Steve Austin delivers a chair shot and brawls with HHH to the backstage area. Also, Jericho attacks Kurt Angle, but Angle bails from the ring clutching onto his championship as RAW comes to an end with a pissed of Jericho standing in the middle of the ring.
End of show.
Matches taped for HEAT: - Albert defeated Billy Gunn - Hardcore Holly defeated Al Snow - Perry Saturn defeated Steve Blackman - William Regal defeated Scotty 2 Hotty to retain the WWF European Championship

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho is a fantastic main event. The opening segment really captured both Jericho and Kurt's characters really well. Nice to see The Hardyz win the number one contenderships. Trish seducing The Rock adds to her character since her character was a slut around this time. Nice win for Tazz. Undertaker/Rikishi feud is alright. Nothing special, really. Trish with Test? When T&A disbanded Trish sided with Albert before she went with Vince McMahon. Still, the segment with Test/Trish was good. A Kane push is awesome. Benoit retaining the Intercontinental Title isn't surprising. The Rock was obviously beating Test. I'd love a Test push, though. Didn't expect a World Title change on RAW. Angle/Jericho is solid, though. Good ending.

Trish with Test? When T&A disbanded Trish sided with Albert before she went with Vince McMahon. Thanks for the reply, as always. I should note, that i did not split T & A up. Thus, Trish is still with both men.

Let's see how this stacks up against WCW. Nice opening segment although Jericho didn't actually win the European title from Angle, he pinned BEnoit for it, so wasn't huge on that reference. Hardyz/Dudleyz is a nice match to start off the show. Like the segment with Trish/Rock. I'd dig a Tazz push if at all possible. Taker/Kishi DQ was fine. LIke the idea of Trish being a you-know-what. Kane over Bradshaw was fine, as was the following match. Rock/Test was a good match because you took the time to put pre-match stuff into it, so kudos for that. Great main event, I assume you did it to try to get the WWF portion of this diary to start out with a bang. Solid start on the WWF side.

WCW Monday Nitro: Monday 1st January 2001...Alright, looks like we could have a good card here tonight. Although, World Championship Wrestling had pre-empted Nitro for two weeks. But nevermind that. Lance Storm and Konnan had a decent opening contest, nothing bad there and Storm picking up the win for Team Canada is fine, not too bad. Good segment to follow up, with the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Scott Steiner coming out to the arena and cutting a promo. Rick Steiner on the opposition? I swear he was a member of the Magnificent Seven faction that he was in. Sort of lacks continuity, which deducts points in my opinion, from this diary. Should be an interesting, albeit not exactly star-power drawing main event for this edition of Nitro. Sort of Thunder worthy. Terry Funk defending the WCW Hardcore Championship is fine, I guess. The WCW hardcore division was the rotten apple on WCW programming back here. Johnny the Bull should have a title reign in the future, though. I like the frustration that The Cat is going through after losing power as WCW Commissioner. Jeff Jarrett rubbing it in his face was fun. I could care less about The Cat though. Mike Sanders was extremely charismatic, though. Let him have a good position. Amazing showcase of the cruiserweight division, as Shane Helms overcame Rey Misterio Jr, Elix Skipper and Billy Kidman. Chavo Guerrero Jr should have his hands full, trying to keep ahold of the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship. Oh dear, please keep the Misfits in Action in a safe place, they're very talented although comedy characters. Triple Threat was a dominant faction, they'd be good if they moved up the card, but if you debut the Magnificent Seven at Sin, I can't see you doing that. The Insiders beating Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak is okay, but please make the Natural Born Thrillers actually presentable in the feud with WCW World Tag Team Champions, Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page. I do not like Goldberg and The Cat teaming up against Jeff Jarrett and Buff Bagwell at all, really. Was pretty randomly assembled, and it was so close to the main event spot. Would've served better as first-hour main event. Nice to include Lex Luger's attack, Goldberg was reassembling his undefeated streak here, think you should mention that in the future. Was disappointed with the write-up of the main event, Scott Steiner beating Rick Steiner is fine, but still, that main event was pretty weak and wouldn't draw too much if you ask me. Sid Vicious and Scott Steiner's feud was pretty lacklustre, the multi-man match at Sin should still be pretty entertaining. Decent show, but I can see RAW is WAR towering over it.
WWF RAW is WAR: Monday 1st January 2001...Quick note, I think you could include some color or add the show logo to each show's posting. It just looks plain, almost as though something's missing. Maybe it's the font=Verdana. I hate that font, and it sort of puts me off reading. Good way to start off the show with the WWF Champion, Kurt Angle coming out to the ring. I like his bragging about beating Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, The Undertaker and Triple H at Armageddon, but I hope that Austin gets involved in the WWF Championship match tonight. Chris Jericho's cockiness was fun, this main event seems a lot better than WCW Monday Nitro's, really demoralizing now I think about it. I hope you continue Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin's rivalry too, when Triple H returns from the injury suffered in Hell in a Cell. Great opening tag team bout with the Hardy Boyz overcoming the Dudley Boyz, but two face teams...I feel that the Right To Censor should have gotten involved in this feud. Edge and Christian & The Hardy Boyz oughta have a good feud going into Royal Rumble over the WWF Tag Team Championships. The Rock's denial of Trish Stratus' flirting was funny, but do you remember Trish having had a 'special friendship' with Vince McMahon in December 2000? This diary is lacking continuity, and that's the only thing bothering me about this diary. I do like Trish's attempt, though, wonder if you'll have T&A split. I hated Albert here though, if T&A split up, I hope that Test gets a good push. Like the brawl that Crash Holly and Raven had, the WWF Hardcore Championship division should be portrayed as being super-adventurous. Tazz beating Bull Buchanan is okay I suppose. Nice promo from Stone Cold Steve Austin, but his intention here was strictly getting a WWF Championship shot, and repeatedly being denied of it. And then Triple H got in the way, I'm not sure how I feel about the promo, as Austin didn't sound comedic and tough, more heelish and bragging about ending Triple H's career. The Undertaker beating Rikishi is fine, I like Rikishi's attacking too. Wonder if Kane gets involved; better yet, wonder if Haku comes back from WCW in a few weeks like he did in real life. I am really disappointed by the layout here, as the less match descriptions there is, the more untidy it looks. Looks really unprofessional. Also a random match, I mean the APA are faces, and Kane was a heel, but what was the point? I feel that Ivory should have competed on this show, too, or at least been involved since the RTC's feud with Billy Gunn and Chyna was up and running. Nice WWF Intercontinental Championship defense by Chris Benoit, but Road Dogg was on his way out. He rarely ever appeared on the A-show in the WWF by this point, so I don't know what to think about this. Good win for The Rock against Test. No Albert? Finally, a great main event with Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H getting involved is good. A good show overall, this diary lacks continuity, but this doesn't bother me too much. Just to note, too; Sunday Night Heat was taped with SmackDown!, Jakked/Metal was taped with RAW is WAR.
Good diary, despite some flaws.

Sunday Night Heat was taped with SmackDown!, Jakked/Metal was taped with RAW is WAR. Thanks Dan for the reply, but i figure to explain some things. WCW - I simply can not pre-empt Nitro for 2 weeks in EWR. That would kill the game for me as i do not use the easy mode. WCW was dying at this point and i'd rather not lose more money. - M7 didn't come together until after Sinn. So, Rick Steiner/Scott Steiner match wouldn't be that far fetched. - People have complained about my length of write ups in the past as being "super long", so i'd rather keep them rather short so the reader can read them quickly and i don't get burnt out. WWF - I'll consider adding logos and colors. It does look fairly plain. - I could have sworn Heat was during RAW. If not, oh well, i simply changed it. - I seem to either have the match descriptions be to little or too long. I don't know what everyone wants. I'd keep them simple. I mean, i have seen other great diaries keep the descriptions of the matches extremely short.

That's what I mean man, but what you could do is make the match description font smaller . Maybe turn the font Arial or Tahoma, as it makes it look more professional, and with that you only need three lines or so.

Wright drops Adams across his knee and Inferno comes off the top connecting with a elbow drop for a near fall. Clarke manages to get back into the ring and nails Wright with a vicious big boot. Clarke would also drive Inferno down with a full nelson slam. Wright nailed Clarke with a super kick which kept the Boogie Knights in the match. Inferno would also connect with a swinging neck breaker. Inferno attempted the Last Dance on Adams, but Adams shoved Inferno off and Inferno would walk right into the Meltdown from Clarke. Inferno was set up for the High Times, Wright simply walked out of the ring. Inferno would suffer the move and Kronik picked up the win. After the match, Wright is heard saying “I don’t need Disco.”

Mike Sanders comes down to the ring with the rest of the Natural Born Thrillers to a course of boos. Sanders mentions tonight’s main event between Goldberg and Shawn Stasiak and tells everyone that the match will no longer be taking place because he said so. Sanders says that he is actually doing Goldberg a favor by canceling the match because everyone knows that Stasiak would beat Goldberg, and Goldberg’s streak to get another WCW World Heavyweight title shot would be over. Ric Flair makes his way out to the entrance with a grin on his face. Flair tells Sanders that Sanders doesn’t have the power to cancel matches. Flair makes it clear that Stasiak will face Goldberg tonight and if any of the Natural Born Thrillers get involved they will be suspended for ninety days without pay! Shawn Stasiak is seen worried in the ring while Sanders tries to calm him down.

Awesome was impressive early in the contest connecting with a slingshot shoulder block from the apron into the ring. Awesome also took Smiley out with a springboard dive to the floor. Smiley took Awesome down with a dragon screw leg whip and attempted the Big Wiggle, which clearly aggravated Awesome. Awesome would battle back and drive Smiley down with a Awesome Bomb to win the match. After the match, Awesome said “I will not be a joke.”

Third Contest: Shane Douglas defeated Corporal Cajun: Cajun controlled Douglas in the early moments of the contest delivering several forearm shots and clotheslines. Cajun connected with a flapjack to get a near fall. Cajun continued to work on Douglas driving Douglas down with a leaping swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Douglas battled back with a belly to belly suplex after catching Cajun leaping off the middle rope. Douglas also delivered the Franchiser which really hurt Cajun. Douglas hooked Cajun up and planted him with the Pittsburgh Plunge to win the match.
Mike Tenay introduces a video showing what happened after Nitro went off the air. The video starts with Sid power bombing Scott Steiner through the announcers table and medics checking on Steiner. After Nitro went off the air, Steiner was placed on a stretcher and put into the back of an ambulance. Tenay reminds everyone of Steiner’s history of back issues and says that Steiner could have possibly re-aggravated his back injury.
Commercials
Sid Vicious makes his way down to the ring, pushing a stretcher to the ring. Vicious shows a slow motion replay of driving Scott Steiner through the announcers table and lets out a sadistic laugh. Vicious points at the stretcher and says that he has made a career putting people into the back of an ambulance. Vicious knows that Scott Steiner hasn’t been beaten so badly that he had to be brought to a hospital. Vicious knows that Steiner is going to be coming back to get some serious revenge, and he loves that. Vicious wants another WCW World Heavyweight Title match and Vicious has a suggestion. Vicious challenges Scott Steiner to a stretcher at WCW Sinn for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Vicious finishes off by saying that Steiner will soon find out why he is “the ruler of the world!”.
Mike Tenay and Scott Hudson promote the possible match and join Shane Douglas to the announcers table for the next match.
Fourth Contest: General Rection defeated Bam-Bam Bigelow in a non-title match:A nice simple brawl between two big men. Rection had a decent run of offense involving scoop slams and clotheslines but he ran into a leaping kick from Bigelow which ended that. Bigelow proceeded to deliver several head butts and a backbreaker for a near fall. Bigelow missed a flying head butt off the top rope and would be met with a DDT from Rection. Bigelow would sneak a low blow as Douglas distracted the referee. Bigelow would set Rection up for the Greetings From Asbury Park, but Morrus fought out and connected with a German suplex. Rection would hit the No Laughing Matter to pick up the win. After the match, Shane Douglas rolls into the ring and looks to hit Rection with the United States Championship, but Rection backdrops Douglas to the floor. Douglas and Bigelow head to the backstage area taunting Rection, as Rection plays to the crowd.

Backstage, Ric Flair enters the locker room of Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell who are still laughing at attacking Goldberg on Nitro. Flair mocks both of them telling them he has some great news. Flair tells them that he has signed a handicap match for WCW Sinn where Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell will face Goldberg. Luger and Bagwell think that they have everything under control, but there is a little bit of doubt on their faces. Flair tells them that Goldberg is not happy, and that he is one hundred percent focused on kicking some ass.
Fifth Contest: Sid Vicious defeated Reno: Reno didn’t stand a chance as Sid is on a mission to reclaim the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Reno did get some offense in, but nothing to brag about. Reno attempted a double axe handle off the middle rope but Sid choke slammed Reno down. Sid followed that up with a power bomb to pick up the easy win.
Commercials
Backstage, Gene is with a dancing Ernest “the Cat” Miller. Gene asks for his thoughts on Jeff Jarrett and Cat simply cause Jarrett a “Chosen Bitch”. Cat says that he doesn’t like Jarrett, he never has. Cat wants to face Jarrett one on one and kick his ass so much, that Jarrett will have to call his momma! Cat issues a challenge to Jeff Jarrett for WCW Sinn on the 14th of January live on Pay Per View. Cat dances out of camera few. Gene even busts a move before regaining composure.
Main Event: Goldberg defeated Shawn Stasiak: Stasiak did a lot of stalling as he was in no mood to face “Da Man”. When the referee backed Goldberg away from Stasiak in the corner, Stasiak attacked Goldberg with several right hands and boots. Stasiak would send Goldberg into the ropes and power slam Goldberg down. However, Goldberg got up fairly quickly and nailed Stasiak with a standing side kick. Goldberg would follow that up with a butterfly suplex and began to signal for the end. Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell made their way down to the ring, but Goldberg knocked both men off the apron. Goldberg speared a charging Stasiak and planted him with the Jackhammer to pick up the win. After the match, Goldberg taunts Luger and Bagwell who will face him at WCW Sin. Tenay and Hudson also hype up the fact that Goldberg is still on his quest to beat his old streak of 173-0. Goldberg is now at 34-0.

LIke Goldberg/Stasiak as the main event, realistic for Thunder. Glad Kronik won, they were actually decent. Like how Awesome is getting another diary push. Shane Douglas racking up wins is always good. Nice Sid promo, good touch with him having a stretcher with him. Not sure what Rection getting a push can do but we'll see. Sid squash was obvious and made sense. Goldberg going for a new record is cool although I obviously can't see him getting there. Solid show, I just don't like the tiny font for the match result.
