Hey guys,
I was out checking stores today from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and only found Mattel WWE products at the Rosedale Toys-R-Us store here in Maryland. That was my first stop of the day , so I didn't come up with anything after that (but I'm not one to complain).
However, I was fortunate to see Mattel's WWE selection for the first time in person and bought the majority of the stuff I was looking for, with the exception of the WrestleMania Heritage Series or any 1/1000 figures.
I called beforehand around 10:15 a.m. and found out that a guy had been there as soon as the store opened and bought some Mattel figures. He could have found one or more 1/1000s before me, but I doubt he cleaned out all of the Heritage figures; I don't think my TRU had any in stock, to be honest with you.
My one lucky moment of the day was getting the last TRU Exclusive boxed set on the shelves, since I'm pretty sure they didn't have one of each individual Basic Series 1 figure. I noticed two or three pegs filled with the "Signature Series" figures, but I passed on them since I'm holding off on buying any repaints for a while.
I didn't see as many Santino/Beth sets as there were the other two (especially Legacy), but I was able to get one of each.
There were a few pegs of Elite Series 1 and FlexForce Series 1 (with and without accessories), as well as about five or six each of the Entrance Greats Series 1 figures. They had plenty of rings to choose from (Raw - bought one, SD - bought one, Breakdown Brawl), as well as a couple of the Superstars Matchups Series 1 Rey and HHH sets.
So, I walked away with about $142 worth of Mattel figures and rings, all pictured below. I'll keep an eye out for the WM Heritage Series 1 Austin, Edge, Orton, and Undertaker, but I got everything else I wanted for now.
