After the opening pyrotechnics and a camera scan of the arena, we cut across to the announcers, Paul Heyman and Mr James Coward, at ringside.
Heyman: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to RBW Iced Earth, from the Majoka Stadium in London, England! I’m Paul Heyman alongside Mr James Coward, and do we have one hell of a night ahead of us.
Mr Coward: You’re not wrong there, Paul, but before tonight starts lets talk about recent events...
Heyman: Backlash was amazing! The Main Event Cage match was incredible and Batista lost the RBW Title to John Morrison!
Mr Coward: The torch has been passed, so to speak, after Batista's undefeated 5-year reign came to an end
Heyman: although Morrison climbed over the cage, and didn't actually pin or defeat Batista!
Mr Coward: Batista feels robbed, and has put Morrison on notice
Heyman: Well, for now we should look towards tonight and lets get right into the action now!
Table Match
Kane .vs. Mike Awesome
Kane walks up but Mike slaps the monster right in the mouth. Kane's eyes roll back in his head just like his undead Brother would, and so Mike tackles Kane into the corner. After some shoulder barges, Kane uppercuts Mike away from him. Mike stumbles but manages to bounce off the ropes as Kane catches him with a big boot. Mike rolls out the ring holding his head while Kane quickly follows him to ringside. Kane throws him into the corner post, then slams his head across the announcer's table and back into the ring. When Kane is getting back into the ring Mike hits a legdrop to the back of the head while Kane is halfway thorugh the ropes. Mike tries a cover but only to get a one-count as Kane powers out. Mike starts to climb the top rope while Kane gets to his feet. Awesome leaps at Kane but he catches Mike from the crossbody position and turns him upside down. Kane nails the tombstone piledriver and then decides to grab a table for the finish.
Kane leaves the ring and drags a table out from ringside. He slides it into the ring while Mike is still out cold from the tombstone. Kane sets up the table and rolls Mike onto it. Kane scales the turnbuckle and signals for an elbow drop to finish off the match, when Big Show suddenly runs down and hits Kane with the 'stone cold' nightstick. Mike manages to roll off the table as Kane wobbles off the top and falls crashing through the table! As Kane lays on a heap of broken wood lifelessly, Mike Awesome is announced the winner. Big Show looks on as a smirk of payback swarms his face.
Heyman: The damage has been done! Big Show gets his payback on Kane!
Mr Coward: A rather sly way to win, but a win for Mike nonetheless
Heyman: When will this fued between Kane and the Big Show ever end?
Mr Coward: Well Kane ended Stone Cold's career, so I'd imagine this fued will end when one of these men ends the others career
Heyman: That has been said by the Big Show before, but I dread the day they ever face off one-on-one
RBW Flashback: "René Dupree has been beating up Mark Jindrack's girlfriend and now he's taken Mark's Intercontinental title here at Backlash!"
As the cameras come back to the live action, the new Intercontinental Champion is in the ring. René Dupree grabs a microphone as he is greeted with a swarm of boos
René: Shut your mouths, merci beaucoup! I am new Intercontinental Championship! I beat Jindrack's girl and then I beat him! Also I learn that I injure his neck and he no wrestle for a long long time!
Suddenly Jim Duggan runs down to the ring, but René is too busy gloating to notice. "You watch you're mouth, tough guy!" yells Duggan, and as René turns around to hear this noise, he is punched in the face by Duggan! René manages to squirm out of the ring as Duggan tries to pull him back into the ring, but Dupree finally escapes. "You ain't getting away with this froggy! I'll teach you to pick on a Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooe!"
Heyman: Duggan is after Dupree! He's coming for his title, but more importantly, he wants to kick his French behind!
Mr Coward: Y'know, Duggan always had a crush on Trish, even though she's datin Jindrack
Heyman: Well thanks to Dupree, both Jindrack and Trish are out of action and on the injured shelf
Mr Coward: Duggan is going to rip René apart when he gets his hands on him, that's for certain!
A mysterious video package is played, and after alot of dark and morbid immagery, a message saying "we're taking over is shown" as a sinister gong ends the video.
Match #2
Amazing Alan .vs. Chris Hero
Alan and Hero Lock horns, and predictably Alan overpowers Hero sending the "young knockout kid" bouncing off the mat and rolling through the ropes to the outisde. Alan is on the hunt and goes to the apron and leaps off with a double axe handle. Hero gets hammered on the back of the neck with the heavy diving attack. Alan grabs Hero and irish whips him towards the steel steps but Hero leaps on to the top step. Just as quick as Hero lands on the steps he leaps off again and crossbodies Alan... but Alan catches him and rams Hero's spine into the steel ring post. Alan looks pissed off and stiffs Hero with a nasty kick to the ribs. After rolling Hero back into the ring Alan hits a few backbreakers and a number of slams and picks up a two-count. Alan whips Hero to the turnbuckle and charges in. Hero counter attacks with a rolling elbow strike and catches Alan right in his teeth. Hero pulls himself to the top tope and hits a missle dropkick, as it seems the tables have now turned. Hero starts stomping all over Alan's anatomy and follows with a legdrop. Hero straps on a cravate chinlock on for some time until Alan starts to fight out with some elbow shots, but Hero hits a nasty knee to the temple. Hero continues hitting hard and applying pressure with several unique submission holds until Alan starts to get a second wind and fights back. Alan knocks Hero into the ropes, Hero lashes out but Alan ducks a clothesline, Hero turns around and Alan gives him a bicycle big boot! Hero drops down and Alan covers him, 1....2...kickout! Alan grabs Hero by the neck and raises him onto his shoulders. Alan hits a dominator driver then hooks the leg for a 1....2....3! Amazing Alan wins the match in a fine display of intense wrestling.
Heyman: That match was a great battle, both men gave it alot of stick!
Mr Coward: Stick?
Heyman: I'll give you some verbal stick and see how you like it!
Mr Coward: Okay, calm down! Anyway, we'll be back after this message...
Match #3
Batista .vs. Santino Marella
Batista locks up with Santino and throws him back into the turnbuckle. Batista comes charging and shoulder barges Santino into the corner, with a barrage of shoulder thrusts. Batista grabs Santino and slings him over his head with tremendous power being displayed. Batista charges at Santino but a dropkick meets Alan's mouth. The former champ stumbles back and Santino dashes in and hits an impactful STO!
Santino gets a one-count off a pinfall attempt, then follows up with a basement enziguri to Batista on his knees. Santino hits a running dropkick to the head of Batista and it shoves him under the bottom rope and he lays on the apron in a daze. Santino shreiks and runs so fast that a baseball slide sends Batista off the apron and hard to the floor. Santino bounces off the ropes to build momentum then leaps over the top rope and nails Batista with a plancha. The crowd favour Batista alot but now they are firmly cheering on Santino even more! Santino is overwhelmed and starts striking some poncey looking poses which gives Batista the chance to spear him into the ring apron. Batista grabs Santino by the hair and throws him back into the ring. Batista gets back in and but is met with a slap right in the kisser. Santino trash talks to Batista but ends up getting speared inside out! Batista picks him back up and hits the brainbuster, then pins him 1...2....3! Batista stands tall over the beaten down itallian and screams revenge on Morrison.
Heyman: Batista indicating that he wants another shot against John Morrison, to get his RBW Title back!
Mr Coward: Well Morrison will be here tonight, infact, so we may find out what will happen between these two!
Heyman: Batista needs to calm down though, I'm sure he'll get his rematch if management saw that impressive win
Mr Coward: RBW will be back with more action after this important message...
Match #4
Alex Shelley .vs. Jillian Hall
The Match got underway with Jillian missing a superkick, leaving Shelley an opening to nail a nasty back kick followed by a snap suplext. Alex Shelley then goes to the top rope for a frogsplash, but Jillian rolls under the ropes to escape. Jillian catches her breathe on the outside as Shelley goes crazy and launches himself into a moonsault attack onto Jillian to the outside! Shelley seems to have taken the worse of the attack as Jillian eventually gets up first. Jillian rolls Shelley back into the ring and hits a back suplex, which gained a two count. Shelley fights out of a side headlock and hits a reverse-STO and then floats into an anaconda vice submission. Jillian manages to brake out of the hold by reaching to the ropes. Shelley showboats and cockily picks her up by the hair, but Jillian lashes out a vicious elbow followed by a sudden snapmare driver!
Jillian brings Shelley up and nails a double underhook suplex which gets a two count. Jillian then goes for the Angels-Wings this time, but Shelley pushes off the ground and Jillian falls back, with Shelley rolling over on top for a jacknife pin position. Jillian kicks out after a two-count and they start to exchange forearms shots. Shelley ends the forearm battle as he is physically tougher, and he follows with a stalling suplex into a cutter. A pinfall cover only gets a two-count as Jillian has more fight left in her. Shelley then climbs to to top rope, with Jillian slowly climbing back to her feet. Shelley dives off for a flying clothesline but Jillian catches his arm and counters into a mid air armbar takedown! Jillian then turns the hold into a crossface submission, and yanks back on Shelley's neck. After some struggle, Shelley finally gets a ropebreak so Jillian releases the hold. With Alex still clutching his neck, Jillian quickly follows up with a top rope moonsault, but Shelley rolls out of harms way and Jillian crashes to the canvas! Shelley takes advantage and grabs her into a cravte hold and runs towards the top rope. Shelley springs off and connects with a sliced bread onto Jillian and gets the 3-Count victory!
Mr Coward: A good win for Alex Shelley! But didn't Jillian hold up well against him?
Heyman: She sure did, what a great mixed gender match!
Mr Coward: Surely Jillian is taking women's wrestling to another level by competing with the men.
After the match Alex Shelley waits for Jillian Hall to get back up and he extends his hand in respect. They shake hands and everyone applauds them both. Suddenly John Morrison's music hits and the new RBW Champion makes his way down to the ring. Jillian and Alex leave the ring as Morrison takes centre stage with a microphone in his hand, as the crowd are giving a mixed reaction.
John Morrison: Shhhhhhh, Shh Shh shhhhhhhhhhhh! At Backlash I got into the cage with that man-bear-pig Batista and I set the night on fiiiiiiiire!
As soon as I became the number one contender, everybody knew I would beat that meat head. Batista's really been the undefeted RBW champion for over 5 whole years? Nobody could beat this guy, ever... until I came along, that is!
He wants a rematch with me? Well I hope you're listening because we don't give out second chances at the palace of Wisdom! I escaped the cage fair and square, and I won the match.
My destiny is nothing short of glory and I have made my inevitable leap to it's pinnacle. From this day on the era of Morrison is here to stay forever!"
Heyman: John Morrison laying down the law
Mr Coward: The new RBW Champion has denied access to Batista, something that won't go down well at all when he finds out about this
Heyman: But who's Morrison to say if Batista can't have another shot? Especially if Batista keeps winning matches
Mr Coward: The Champion can say whatever he pleases
Heyman: Morrison has said his peice and now he's leaving the ring. That's a smart idea, best get out of there before Batista has a chance to come down
Mr Coward: We're only moments away from the Main event match of the night, it's Charlie Haas taking on Paul London!
Main Event Match
Charlie Haas .vs. Paul London
The match kicked off with both men locking up and after a big struggle London hit a series of arm drags on Haas ending in an armbar. Haas rolled out of the hold and out wrestled London to the mat and mounted him while slapping his head. Haas backed off and posed to a negative reception while London got back up. They then started to battle hitting alot of fast paced off-the-ropes attacks. The battle furthered when London was knocked out the ring to the floor, and as Haas hit a rolling plancha, London moved out of harms way and Haas hit the nasty floor. London then jumped onto the ring apron and hit a moonsault onto the floored Haas! London then entered the ring and played out some taunts on the top rope to celebrate his greatness. As Haas was getting to his feet o the outside, London started to stomp his feet to get ready for a dive attack. London went off the ropes and as he went to dive through the ropes towards Haas, he was stopped by a european uppercut! London lay lifeless dangling inbetween the ropes, as Haas grabbed a hold of his neck and pulled him through the ropes but with London's feet still on the apron.
Haas then pulled down on London's neck and hit a nasty cutter that spiked London onto the cold icey floor! As you would imagine, this left all London out cold for a while, but when Haas rolled him back into the ring he only got a two-count from a pinfall attempt. Haas placed London sitting ontop of the turnbuckle and positioned for a superplex. London started biting the neck of Haas and then kicked him off and down to the canvas. London shook off the cobwebs in his head and hit a shooting star press, but Haas lifted up his knees and London landed on them nastily! Haas quickly picked up London and hit a german suplex and pinned him 1....2.....kickout! Haas decided to go to the top rope and and leaped off with a diving elbow, but London rolled out of the way. Both men got to ther feet and London jumped up for a hurricanrana but Haas reversed it with a powerbomb! Haas hooked London's leg for the pin but only got a two-count! Haas quickly followed up with an ankelock and despite London's struggles, Haas kept the move on tight until London had to submit to the pain!
Heyman: What an intense main event match!
Mr Coward: Haas and London gave it such alot, but only one of them could win
Heyman: The fans are on their feet after seeing this great performance and so they should be!
Mr Coward: And they shake hands, what a great couple of wrestlers right here!
Suddenly thunder roars throughout the air and a loud gong strikes the atmosphere! London and Haas make their way out of the ring as the Undertaker and his Morticians make their way down to the ring. The fans neither boo nor cheer, as they intently watch in awe for what the Undertaker and his team may be up to.
Maven: Everybody look out, because the Tag Team champions are in town! Me and Steele are the greatest tag team in RBW History, and we have the gold to proove it. And soon our leader, the Undertaker, will be the RBW Champion. This isn't just bable, this is gospel! From now on the Morticians are running things around here, and nobody is going to stop us! So interpret that anyway you want!"
The crowd give off a hostile boo, as they don't favour these imposing words. And it seems this message has struck such a nerve that even the boss of RBW himself is making his way down to the ring... Mr Vincent McMahon himself! He gets in the face of Maven and starts barking back at him.
Mr McMahon: Who the hell do you think you are, pal? This is my company, and you have no right taking over any of it, understand?
Mr McMahon: And yoooooooou! I suppose this is all your big idea, Deadman! What do you think you're running here? This circus of yours may be the tag team champions, but that doesn't give you any power over anything here in RBW! Now get the hell out of my ring and don't you ever do anything like this again!
Vince stares a hole into the Undertaker but he dosn't seem to be moving at all. Maven and Steele just stand around looking on at the staredown between Undertaker and Vincent. The crowd are all mumbling incoherently, but there is a big buzz in the air, as nothing seems to be happening in the ring. All of a sudden Vince slaps the Undertaker and stares at him even harder. The Undertaker grabs him by the throat and scoops him upside down into a sitout tombstone piledriver!
Heyman: Are you freakin' kidding me?
Mr Coward: You can't do that to the Boss!
Heyman: NO WAY! Did that really just happen?
Mr Coward: It did indeed! I can't believe they went this far
Heyman: The Undertaker has just made a huge DOOM!
Mr Coward: A huge doom? He made a big mistake, that's what!
Heyman: uh Oh, Maven's coming over our way...
Mr Coward: Get lost! We don't want to associate oursleves with you lot! Scram, before we're seen together!
Maven: This is just the start! I told you! I told you all that we're taking over RBW! This is the start of the Morticians' reign of power! All will succumb to the dark side!
