sorry WWE fans...these are not good figures. Why would you bother collecting these when you have SEVERAL variations of the same figures? You really want to start from scratch? For those who play with their figures, you guys are screwed because it's gonna take you a couple years to get a large roster and they aren't compatible with Jakks WWE.

Bring on TNA and NWA Legends!

I'm definitely getting Kofi in the basic set, and Jericho & HBK and Glamarella in the 2 packs. I LOVE how they packaged jericho and michaels.

hey Jeremy nice to see you posting on the boards again. Just so you know, Mattel will have 35 unique figures on the market before we even see one TNA figure at retail. Aside from Chavo, Masters and Festus, we will have the entire active male RAW roster at that time. How long do you think it's going to take you get a full TNA roster?

well here goes... i for one was excited about the possibilities from Mattell. but this final product is garbage compared to what Jakks was producing. yeah there were shortcomings with accessories and what not - but these "new and exciting" fogures aer on the lines of TTL. they all look like cartoons. and skin tones dont even match. these look like nothign more than discount store toys - definitely not for the collectors. i will be pruchasing ZERO of these Mattell figures.

i am looking forward to the TNA figs even though im not a huge TNA fan. as well as the NWA classics. as of right now i will be picking up more of the UFC cause the 2 i have are impressive.

I love children.

Why would you go buy a Batista that basically looks like the same 45 other Batista figures you have? This line will fail because all the guys have been produced by Jakks over the past 5 years. There is not a huge enough difference between Jakks and Mattel for Mattel to think people are going to buy another HHH.

Hey mom, please buy me this John Cena figure. I know I have 700 of them at home but this one is from Mattel and I know he looks just like all the others I have but this one if from Mattel.

Wow...Evan Bourne....well, he looks just like the other Evan Bourne figure you have. Maybe you can get him and incorproate him into the Jakks line...oops, nope you can't...too small.

1. I would buy that batista because jakks one was incomplete. I didnt buy Jakks because of the missing detail." looks like the same 45 other Batista figures you have" Gee is that because its the same person? Mattel also went with one of batistas more colorful attires, not his many black ones.

2."There is not a huge enough difference between Jakks and Mattel for Mattel to think people are going to buy another HHH."
Isnt there? Jakks just got that attire done at the last second and its still not complete! Mattel has done in series 1 what Jakks didnt do in 13 years, a perfect deco Triple H.Right down to the cross on the elbow pads.

3."Hey mom, please buy me this John Cena figure. I know I have 700 of them at home but this one is from Mattel and I know he looks just like all the others I have but this one if from Mattel."

Diffrent scan, diffrent scale. No giant head and missing wrist detail.Keep in mind while we (collectors) notice detail & scale kids could care less and would love a Mattel Kofi to go with a Jakks Cena.

4."Wow...Evan Bourne....well, he looks just like the other Evan Bourne figure you have. Maybe you can get him and incorproate him into the Jakks line...oops, nope you can't...too small."

Wow is right. Have you seen a Jakks Evan Bourne? A freaky scan on a generic body. The first 2 Evan Bournes from Jakks had great detail but come on man!The rest have been a detail-less mess! Mattel made a boot mold JUST for bourne! On to scale. Jaks has produced figures in all sorts of scales! BCA was small and rubber/plastic,TTL was bigger with NO elbows, then with elbows ALL with TERRIBLE sculpts! then they added real scan and finishing moves wich were bigger. Then Jakks went smaller again with highly detailed R3 before doing a 180 to RA with CARTOONISH muscle and real scan.Jakks newest evolution is DA and UFC DA wich are the biggest of the figures jakks has used as a main line.

Long time collectors have always had to deal with scale changes. I have 13 years worth of great jakks figures and will happily get some tna & ufc figs but mattel has raised the bar in my eyes. The HBK/Jericho 2 pack is on par/better than anything jakks has ever done and its a retail item. Start a new collection? Thats what collectors do! I have LJN,Hasbro,Galoob, tobiz, jakks and will be happy to welcome Mattel to that collection.

Wow those look pretty awesome, but didnt hit me quite with the impact they once did. Guess not much of a drop off except articulation. Wish we had better closeups. the card art looks fantastic. nOt sure how they translate playability wise or in hand. I've always liked "action figure" figures intead of "doll like' figure that jakks made.

And i wish people would quit complainting about skin tome and ripped bodies. For one, the light distorts the skin town when you take pics. Second, when there was real scan bodies( r3) people bitched about them... they are larger than life characters, of course they'll be a little extreme.

The overwhelming majority of people whining about Mattel's figures are kids who are sad their Jakks figures are now worthless, and people who have no taste. It is really that simple. I really can't wait for 1/1/10. Finally, some WWE figures that don't look like absolute sh*t. Thank you Mattel.
