www.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED/itm/110857889334?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_500wt_922 I realize that not everyone cares about this type of item but it's the only one I've ever seen (the nerf football thing). I do know what it is though. Stom and one other person have a hogan one. They're called Bigfoot balls. There are only those two hogan ones known to be in existence and mine is the only macho man one known to mankind. A pic of the Hogan cdn101.iofferphoto.com/img/item/792/978/26/Y5A6Up95eb2v1mB.jpg

Having known about the hogan, I was pretty sure that I knew what I was bidding on. (couldn't be a hundred percent certain as I had never seen a macho man Bigfoot ball) I wonder if the other bidders actually knew what they were bidding on or just thought that it looked cool.

Yeah, it's really hard to tell in the pic. Very cool. I still have my Madballs football. One of my most favorite things ever.

WCW worked with so many companies licensing so much random stuff during that era that even a hardcore collector isn't going to know everything that's out there. The funny thing was how indiscriminate they seemed to be; you'd find everything from high quality merch to weird, second-rate figural stampers and Frisbees. Then there's pretty cool stuff like this, made by a lower tier company that probably barely had enough money to pay for the license, then couldn't get their stuff in prime retail space enough to turn a profit. With the absolute glut of late 90s WCW merch, it would not surprise me in the least if there were still cases of things like this in some random storeroom waiting to be discovered.
With all that written, I'll add that you've got to love the people who list their stuff so poorly and don't seem to know what they've got. And big credit to the collector avid enough to do the searching to find them! That Macho Man is great.

You do find some interesting wrestling items. you must spend countless hours a day on Ebay.

This is why I've given up on trying to collect every Sting item produced and focus only on the figures. There's way too much stuff out there that I don't even know about.
